DailyDirt: Paper Airplanes For Fun And Profit

from the urls-we-dig-up dept

If you're interested in paper planes, you could try to beat the world record for distance -- and it looks like there may be annual contests for you to compete in pretty soon. You could also try to make a paper airplane that stays aloft for the longest time. Or you could come up with your own record (most loops? most accurate landing? best tricks?). Check out some of these links if you think you could be obsessed with paper planes.. in a healthy way. If you'd like to read more awesome and interesting stuff, check out this unrelated (but not entirely random!) Techdirt post via StumbleUpon.

Thank you for reading this Techdirt post. With so many things competing for everyone’s attention these days, we really appreciate you giving us your time. We work hard every day to put quality content out there for our community.

Techdirt is one of the few remaining truly independent media outlets. We do not have a giant corporation behind us, and we rely heavily on our community to support us, in an age when advertisers are increasingly uninterested in sponsoring small, independent sites — especially a site like ours that is unwilling to pull punches in its reporting and analysis.

While other websites have resorted to paywalls, registration requirements, and increasingly annoying/intrusive advertising, we have always kept Techdirt open and available to anyone. But in order to continue doing so, we need your support. We offer a variety of ways for our readers to support us, from direct donations to special subscriptions and cool merchandise — and every little bit helps. Thank you.

I like that infinite loop paper plane you create with a chair (solid backboard) and a hairdryer. I'll try to emulate this and the longest flying plane above for sure.

I'll bet that it creates at least a few, yes.
