DailyDirt: Connecting Brains To Other Stuff

from the urls-we-dig-up dept

If artificial intelligence doesn't seem to be making as much progress as we'd like, there are some other ways to try to create more intelligent beings on demand. If we can't breed smarter animals, perhaps we can make some animal cyborgs to do our bidding. We'll need some better brain interfaces, and it looks like plenty of folks are already working on them. After you've finished checking out those links, take a look at our Daily Deals for cool gadgets and other awesome stuff.

Thank you for reading this Techdirt post. With so many things competing for everyone’s attention these days, we really appreciate you giving us your time. We work hard every day to put quality content out there for our community.

Techdirt is one of the few remaining truly independent media outlets. We do not have a giant corporation behind us, and we rely heavily on our community to support us, in an age when advertisers are increasingly uninterested in sponsoring small, independent sites — especially a site like ours that is unwilling to pull punches in its reporting and analysis.

While other websites have resorted to paywalls, registration requirements, and increasingly annoying/intrusive advertising, we have always kept Techdirt open and available to anyone. But in order to continue doing so, we need your support. We offer a variety of ways for our readers to support us, from direct donations to special subscriptions and cool merchandise — and every little bit helps. Thank you.

We can already mix brains in people wirelessly. It's one of the central issues in the torture crap we protest against. It's old technology that has some basis in nazi death camps and was developed fully by USA and USSR researchers from the immediate postwar era along with other countries. It's all available on directed energy weapon marketplace if you have licenses to import/export and use weapons of mass destruction.

That would be interesting to say the least. Clusters of biological brains could lead to greater improvements in computers (not necessarily by adding biology into chips or something) but seeing how they work together to form a network.

    Very interesting indeed.

There's an executive order that limits interrogations performed to what's listed in the army field manual. It's just one more form of torture that violates geneva and has been invented over the years.

Just because one is able to do something does not mean that it should be done.
