DailyDirt: Useful Cooking Gadgets?

from the urls-we-dig-up dept

There is a constant stream of kitchen gadgetry aiming to save everyone time, effort and money. Just watch any TV channel when the paid programming kicks in, and you'll eventually see an infomercial for a revolutionary new cooking tool that you can't imagine ever living without. Sure, most of these inventions are probably made of flimsy plastic that will break after a few weeks of casual use, but you'll already have broken even on the time you saved, right? Here are just a few links to some neat kitchen tools that you might want to try throw in a drawer and forget about. If you'd like to read more awesome and interesting stuff, check out this unrelated (but not entirely random!) Techdirt post via StumbleUpon.

Thank you for reading this Techdirt post. With so many things competing for everyone’s attention these days, we really appreciate you giving us your time. We work hard every day to put quality content out there for our community.

Techdirt is one of the few remaining truly independent media outlets. We do not have a giant corporation behind us, and we rely heavily on our community to support us, in an age when advertisers are increasingly uninterested in sponsoring small, independent sites — especially a site like ours that is unwilling to pull punches in its reporting and analysis.

While other websites have resorted to paywalls, registration requirements, and increasingly annoying/intrusive advertising, we have always kept Techdirt open and available to anyone. But in order to continue doing so, we need your support. We offer a variety of ways for our readers to support us, from direct donations to special subscriptions and cool merchandise — and every little bit helps. Thank you.

"0 Insights" after more than a day annoying everyone with the "Net Relic" item.

It falls on me again to speak truth trying to improve the site.

Give up on those wretched pop-to-top items, Mike. The only effect is that it's annoying to skip past them for possible items not yet seen.

And give up on "Insight Community", DEAD since Nov 4, 2011 except for your own post. And on "Step 2", "better" as last post was Aug 20 this year, but not even zombie level.

It's clear that even free T-shirts won't make Techdirt's pirates and gamers creative or innovative or even stir them into posting one-liners.

But you'll always have "Streisand Effect"!

    powerful burning laser

It is really a very wonderful joy to using a very powerful laser pointer as cooking gadget. At the same time, users should be extremely cautious with powerful laser radiation in operation.
