Daily Deal: ZeroLemon SolarJuice 20000mAh Battery

from the good-deals-on-cool-stuff dept

It's back! We featured the ZeroLemon SolarJuice Battery before, but we now have the ZeroLemon SolarJuice 20000mAh Battery for 50% off of the original price -- with twice the capacity of the former battery. For $49, that's a lot more charging power for your iOS, Android, or USB-compatible devices. This dual output battery features 1000+ recharge cycles over the life of the battery, a built-in LED flashlight, and a clip-on hook for easy transport. The 1.2W monocrystalline solar panel would take a while to fully charge an energy-hungry device, but it can help keep the unit topped up throughout the day (and it comes with a microUSB cable). This deal ends very soon, so head on over to the store to grab yours.

Thank you for reading this Techdirt post. With so many things competing for everyone’s attention these days, we really appreciate you giving us your time. We work hard every day to put quality content out there for our community.

Techdirt is one of the few remaining truly independent media outlets. We do not have a giant corporation behind us, and we rely heavily on our community to support us, in an age when advertisers are increasingly uninterested in sponsoring small, independent sites — especially a site like ours that is unwilling to pull punches in its reporting and analysis.

While other websites have resorted to paywalls, registration requirements, and increasingly annoying/intrusive advertising, we have always kept Techdirt open and available to anyone. But in order to continue doing so, we need your support. We offer a variety of ways for our readers to support us, from direct donations to special subscriptions and cool merchandise — and every little bit helps. Thank you.

    Testimonial

I got the 10000mAh version that was a daily deal a few weeks back, and I've been very happy with it.

    Re:

Because you touch yourself at night?

This is problem with many US companies existing on the Internet with global demand but with very limited US only supply.

And yes this seems like a very tasty solar battery when 20,000 mAh is only 5 times the 4,000 mAh of the battery in my Android tablet.

    10k

Like John I purchased two. I like them but the instructions are a bit weak, and I haven't had a chance to test thesolar panel yet. My 4 day road trip through KC will give them a workout though. 4 of 5 stars at least.

    Re:

Yep, can't get it from Canada, eh.

One alternative, get an Anker 14W Portable Solar Charger and whatever external battery that can be charged from a USB Port.

Yes, the printed instructions aren't good. But their website has much better instructions. It was only on the website that I learned that of the two USB charging ports, port A is a 1A port and port B a 2A one.

    Re: WHY

Because shipping from the USA is usually by Global Priority Mail, and shipping one of these that way would cost $30-$80.
