I never got to try Uno or Due's. However, I did love Giordanos. Thanks for the link. I can now share my Chicago style pizza love with my friends.
Not to upset you, but I do love New York style as well (from certain places). Your other comment about XFL being the only football is right on though. They're two different beasts entirely.

Seriously man, if you're a paid shill just let me know. I keep trying to figure out how to get paid for visiting Techdirt and other blogs that I frequent. I need in on that kind of action.

I do too. I have a feeling that the days of the mega ultra super rockstar are coming to an end fast. If this guy can't keep up then he needs to take up another profession.

Rock 'n Roll ain't noise pollution
Rock and roll ain't gonna die.
This guy is just looking for a scapegoat for being an untalented schmuck. He doesn't even seem to understand how it worked in the old days. You built up fans and got some buzz going (mostly by playing live every night that you could get a gig and talking to everyone you could hoping they could recommend you to a big name) until someone from a record company either heard of you on the indie music scene or happened to be in the same club you were playing in. Either that or you had to spend your time networking (and knowing how to network) to get your demo heard.
It seems that he's dreaming of some golden age of music when you played and did absolutely nothing else. This has never existed. You never got a huge record deal just because you sent in a demo and took a few lousy black and white pics of yourself.

The only problem I see
The only problem I see with this is vetting who a smart juror is. A smart juror would use the technology to look up terms they didn't understand, to look up other similar cases and draw conclusions based on that research. An idiot juror would see who the media is slaughtering during the case, pick up a bunch of circumstantial evidence (for higher profile cases), and make their decision based on the court of public opinion rather than the facts of the case. While this may work for small trials, I don't think it would work well for any sort of high profile trials where the jury is sequestered and the media is slaughtering someone (rightfully or wrongfully).

YES!
Cut out the middle-man. No need for actual people running for office when we can just have the corporations run it directly instead of having to pay lobbyists.

Re: Re:
There was a lot of discussion on Slashdot about this exact issue. The conclusion that I like best was that yes, someone patented the technology to flip those pages (interns), but it should be kicked out for prior art due to the existence of slave labor.

Start with the last word and work your way back.
infringement - violation: an act that disregards an agreement or a right
vs.
steal - an instance in which a base runner advances safely during the delivery of a pitch
What any of this has to do with baseball I'll never know.

Isn't that the perfect taxpayer? They're too stupid to do anything illegal. They don't question authority. They can't kill themselves so they keep on paying taxes.

There is a simple answer
Ban children. If we ban everyone from being under the age of 18, there will be no more children to protect. The other way to go about it is to ban parents. If we can ban people from being parents entirely then we wouldn't have to worry about them not doing their job.
There is no better way to protect children than to keep them from existing. Once they don't exist, nothing can hurt them.
