Yes, those others may embark on litigation using the abilities that copyright law grants them however my other point was that they should not have to. The business model of using others content without attribution should mark you out as a fraud, and your sales should suffer.
You're still missing the point of the article. Mike's desire to open the original article to unfettered use is not the same type of control as exhibited by most studios today, where they frequently overreact.
It's not entitlement, it's availability. You don't wait a week to read the next chapter in your book. When you buy a DVD box set you don't watch one episode a week. It it's there people will want it. If they can get it legally, great. If they can't but can get it in an illegal way which has become socially acceptable, they'll do that instead.

Just have a whitelist of approved sites, based on the PRS own knowldge of licensensing deals. All other sites are therefore unlicensed.
Or is that too simple for the idiots at PRS?
