No I don’t want to play basketball with, but don’t you dare use that basketball in the playard no one is using because it may or may not be mine. Why am I doing this? Because I can.
Like that scene from “Blazing Saddles” when Black Bart first rides into Rock Ridge and threatens to shoot himself if they don’t let him go. Except this time the townsfolk (customers) aren’t stupid enought to buy it.
Considering the abuse of copyright and trademark by these humorless loons, its a good thing Noah Webster has been dead for over 70 years or his estate would have a field day.
I also got the impression he was agreeing with my position. However; his response looked like he thought I was supporting Blackberry’s ridiculous position that Netflix should be required to write an app for them.
I was suggesting if Balckberry wanted a Netflix app so badly, Blackberry sould write it themselves. I was also suggesting that Netflix might be willing to provde technical help. Finally I said that Netflix wasn’t writing the app themselves because it didn’t make economic sense for Netflix.
I’m sorry I confused you so badly perhaps you should work on your reading comprehension.
If Blackberry went to Netflix and said we want to develope an app so our customers can use your service, I’m pretty sure Netfilx would work with them. Instead they whine that Netflix isn’t doing something that doesn’t make economic sense for Netflix.
One of the things YouTube did with their comments that to this day bothers me is the change they made to the thumbs up/down counters. In the comment section it only shows how many thumbs up a comment gets, but always shows zero thumbs down. So when someone sets up multible account to puff up their (sometimes vile) comments it looks like everyone agrees with them.
What we need is for someone the FBI is trying to recruit to document the whole thing. How they encouraged them, offered to provide the material, gave them a target, … the whole shebang. Then before the FBI can issue a press release they go to the press and report how they a lowly private citizen uncovered a plot to create a terriorist organization on American soil.
There was an episode where the police commisioner when thru Toody and Muldoon’s patrol area and was appalled by the number of minor infractions. They were told to get their area cleaned up or else. They couldn’t bring themselves to write tickets for trivial stuff and were to be sent to patrol the docks. Before this could happen the police statistician pointed out that while their area was the worse in minor infractions there were almost no major crimes. It turned out the people in the nieghborhood worked with Toody and Muldoon to keep there neighborhood safe.
It seems that Nat Hiken knew back then what the police of today have forgotten, fear doesn’t breed respect, respect breeds respect.

Let’s try an anology to see if it helps you. Your city has a law about barking dogs being a nuisance (copyright law). Your dog sometimes barks in the afternoon (accidental or personal infringement). Your next door neighbor (Sony) who is connected in the city government complains. You’re told you have to pay a $100 fine for every time your dog barked and if happens again your dog will be put down. While your neighbor is complaining about your behavior, he lets his dog out every night to do its business and it barks up a storm every time. When you complain your Sony, ahem neighbor is told to pay a $10 dollar fine and to not do it again. They tearfully promise this EVERY time they do it and they never face the consequences they demand of everyone else.
On a side note before this whole brouhaha about the “Interview” came about I hadn’t planned to see it. I still won’t see it because if I do the terrorists and Sony will win.
