What a ridiculous bias. You say "cultural differences" then say how global everything is. You say Techdirt and it's commentators are rotten cyberbullies yet ignore Gibson's own attempts to threaten and bully. And frankly, trying to paint Paul Levy as some clueless legal dwarf, and Stuart Gibson as some kick-ass "never lost a case yet" lawyer had me spewing Earl Grey out of my nose.
"Techdirt is seriously threatening the reputation of the litigants with their negative stories..."
And yet I don't believe I have ever seen Techdirt articles speak untruths. Their writers have opinions and express them, often colourfully. But that's modern journalism...
That said, you are right in that they often paint themselves a target. It's reach belies it's size; it's surprising just how often Techdirt comes right at the top of search results.
"The world would be a far better place if less people sought litigious revenge when emotional."
Very true. Reading his original missive, I tend more to the view that Milorad Trkulja is impaired, possibly through alcohol or substance abuse. I feel a degree of pity for him.
Laptops will be wrapped in several layers of bubble-wrap, and for the duration of the flight will be stored outside the aircraft, at the end of a 500m tether.
Though speaking for myself, I have no inclination to visit the USA anytime soon.
The smartest (and most successful) company I ever worked for took the view that fixing defects at design was cheaper than fixing them at code, fixing them at code was cheaper than fixing them at test, and fixing them at test was far, far cheaper than fixing them via customer support.
They also took the view that happy customers were more likely to be loyal customers, and hence repeat business.
"I can't launch an airline right now either, for lack of capital. I don't think that is unfair. It's just a question of available resources."
I'm not so sure about the strength of your analogy. I see it more as you having to pay $xyz to land your planes at airports whilst AA and Lufthansa doesn't. If you really, really wanted to float an airline, you might be considering starting up with tiny planes; air-taxis are a thing...
You cannot underestimate how important politicians like Ron Wyden are. I go with smart and fair minded. Pro-people. I think such people are rare, especially so in politics, but I'm glad they're there, and that they have our backs.
"The real problem is not zero rating it's data caps"
My take is that both of these are problems. You can have no caps whatsoever, but if you're trying to stream video and your mobile provider is artificially hobbling your speed, you're not going to be too pleased.
I'm also non US but take an interest in these goings on, partly because of US dominance, partly because corporate dickery travels well.

Link worked for me - take the space out before the suffix. That said, it's difficult to get the gist of the story and there's a link http://www.operationawareness.com/about_1_child.html that takes you off to a Japanese web site.
Woah there. I accidentally nudged a can of draughtflow Guiness off my fridge shelf over xMas - it hit the deck, the top exploded, and I was cleaning The Black Stuff out of my fridge for the next 2 hours.
