too big to fail, too big to jail as long as they give billion dollar bribes.
They make trillions laundering money for terrorists and other criminals, and pay a percentage of that to the US government to stay in business. Protection money as it were for abusing their citizens
We all know it will be renewed. This is the most corrupt and criminal administration to date. There is no way in hell they will not renew something that allows them to keep committing treason and crimes and all they have to say is national security when caught.
Maybe Obama will just bypass congress again in this case and renew it by executive order.
The only thing that will happen if the patriot act gets repealed is that those alphabet agencies can no longer validate their crimes against Americans by saying its legalized. Instead they will keep committing these crimes no matter that's it illegal once more. They currently blatantly ignore the laws when it comes to people's rights so why would this case be any different.
I am going to trust an agency at their word when their head of office and many of their employees have been caught openly lying to the public, in court cases and all over the place.
Holder got away with perjury should prove they have nothing to fear from lying about what they are doing or what they say they are going to do. As who will hold them accountable for their lies?
but how would the DEA keep getting their bribes from for profit prisons then if they had to have their crimes actually be held accountable instead of just ignored because they are part of the government
every time I have visited Montreal, granted it has only been about 6 times so far. 99% of the drivers ignored red lights and drove through them didn't signal turns. generally ignored the laws that if a cop had seen them would have lost them their license.
It was so bad we had to take the paths that went under the main streets just to be able to get across safely. Otherwise when we tried to cross at the intersections cars would drive through. Almost as if they did not care if they ran people down or crashed into another car that had the right of way.
Seeing that every time I have gone to that god forsaken city has left a very vivid impression on my mind.
If you ever visit Montreal remember that 99% of their population ignores the traffic laws, so don't get caught walking on the sidewalks or streets. Thankfully most of the downtown is linked via underground malls so its simple to avoid the suicidal drivers.
contempt of cop is usually punishable by death/a beating or a false arrest of resisting arrest. The driver got lucky he had witnesses in his car to prevent any of those results.
Considering some of the police defending this POS see no problem he threatened someone not breaking the law with a false arrest simply because he has the power to is exactly why people hate and fear the dirty cops of this world.
The first thing that springs to mind is. Could they claim copyright over DNA they have never collected much like so many "medical" corporations have been doing lately
considering cops superiors seem to reward bad cops for breaking laws, murdering, beating, assaulting etc. Is it too much to assume they expect this kind of thing to be considered the epitome of police work? Where anyone that tries to make cops be accountable is an enemy that must be put down much like the citizenry that should lick their boots or be harassed.
The ruling elite needs a group of thugs to enforce their will and what better way to reward said thugs than making them unaccountable for whatever they do.
You have no rights if those running things decide you have none. Times like this should be driving people to force change not be apathetic until it happens to them
well obviously we need to invade the countries these scumbags are in. We made up a reason to do it for every attack in the last several decades why not just use this one.

Must be nice to have such a bunch of criminals acting as police with zero oversight or accountability most of the time.

As well as removing most of the gold kept in the towers prior to the attack.
They knew something was going to happen but used that knowledge to help themselves at the cost of people they were charged with protecting dying
