I believe these major publishers really hate the fact that unsigned/independent writers are on the rise. Many of their ebooks are free and without DRM, no less. Oh, the horror!

Hmm well, it certainly won't make me start buying any more DVDs, theater tickets, or rentals. If I want a movie bad enough, there's always used... unless they manage to completely destroy the second-hand market.
