Of course they Facebook scandal got more media attention: the big ISPs put pressure on their news corporations to comment on it until the public got sick of it. Conversely, the ISPs are telling their news corps. to be quiet about their own privacy leaks.
Doesn't Comcast own at least a few news organizations?
Public Servants better be public, otherwise they won't be public servants for very long. They either be transparent and up-front, or they'll be kicked out, posthumously if the public feels the need.
Granted, it takes a lot of effort for the torches and pitchforks to come out, but I think we're seeing the signs that the only way the public will be heard is with gunshots.
The director had to seal the heart of his work away, lest someone steal it. He put it in the last place anyone would look. Too bad the actress wasn't looking for the heart, because apparently she found it.
Now they'll ride off into the sunset together, live happily ever after, and have many babies. How can a movie have babies? Eh, life finds a way.
Yeah, I was a watcher of a gaming stream where they would do a fundraiser for the local (to them) Big Cat Rescue and used to only offer raffle rewards to those that donated. She explicitly said that she changed it to anyone who entered because otherwise "That'd be gambling."
Treason is very narrowly-defined by the US Constitution itself. I wouldn't be surprised if they did that because Great Britain was using any excuse to mark someone as "treasonous" and have them executed.

Everyone thought IBM with OS/2 couldn't compete against microsoft, but in reality it was illegal for them to implement the features that the market wanted.
Not even true. Microsoft and IBM were working together to create OS/2 until Microsoft stabbed them in the back, stole some code, and created Windows NT.
Of course Best Buy stopped selling Huawei cell phones. The FBI said they'd lose payment from the Geek Squad snooping around in people's computer if they continued selling them. /s

It doesn't mean it can't be used/misused/abused for that aspect. If nothing else, Hollywood is good at perverting things for their own gain.

Microsoft wasn't a nice company in the 90s.

Well, technically we don't need electricity. Let's just remove all laws "restricting" the electric companies. I'm sure nothing could go wrong.
Now water: well, we need that stuff to stay alive. Messing with that would have deadly consequences.
