If even an avowed enemy of pirates can see what's needed, why can't the copyright companies themselves?
Morony, pure and simple.
They are like a monkey who won't let go of handful of nuts in a jar, the nuts are keeping their hand stuck in the jar but they refuse to let go and get them out 1 at a time.
They will eventually starve to death, still clinging the same nuts they refused to let go of. Morons.
Treat your customers with respect, and they’ll do the same to you. And that is how you fight piracy.
this needs to highlighted in huge flashing neon letters stapled to every building and every tree in every town in every continent
as i have stated in one of the articles before this one, i once had a run-in with a particularly disrespectful individual who tore me a new one for not "asking permission" to make fanart
"fan" art
i'm not a fan now, quite the opposite infact
it's now got to a point when i start seeing the old "permission this permission that, if you don't you're a thief .etc .etc" i turn elsewhere like i just smelled a turd on the side of the street
if i really like what they've got regardless, i go get an unauthorized copy to avoid dealing with them
these people really create their own problems and are expert at blaming it on someone else
the media industries just aren't struggling, despite their cries of woe
forgot to mention, when i was in school we where constantly pressured to share with eachother and not hoarde/"be selfish" with things like food/toys .etc
then i got older and now here's these jokers demanding permission for things i was taught should be shared freely
I have met people (even young people, in their early 20s!
i've seen, met and been harasses by people even younger than that
i'm talking people as young as 13 or 14 who where already convinced that copyright is this holy savior end be all of artistry and anything to do with creativity and permission culture is the "cool" "right" thing to do
they start early with kids like that, i was one of those kids, what they do is they catch you doing something that ANY NORMAL KID WOULD DO like copying something like artwork especially and then they hound you
my mistake was making fan art of another artist's characters, and sending them the link it like "hey look at what i made with your guy in it!!"
my god was i was just absolutely torn into, from the way this person treated me you'd think that i just raped their whole family, robbed them blind and burned their house down, they even had their entire circle of snotty friends aid them in bashing me down
why? apparently because i didn't "ask permission", to make fanart because i like somebody? are ya fucken loopy? well, put simply, i am no longer a fan of that person, i hate them infact
i was only like 11 or 12 years old at the time, this is NOT something any child should have had to deal with, when i was in school and/or with friends NONE of the kids even knew about or gave a fuck about copyright, we copied, we shared, we reused and that was the end of it
it was then that i fucking hated copyright and wanted nothing more than to see it wiped off the face of the earth
most kids would have already given in to their demands and conformed to copyright faith, i did not, instead of converting me they won an enemy that day, they'll learn to regret that
he could have done so for his own use, but no, he wants others to see it
if you wanted to make petty comments, you could, you could have kept your petty comments to yourself, but no, you wanted others to read it, and so you posted it here, next you should get put in jail for life or executed
lol you can just lie and it will accept it, whoever made this crap doesn't have enough "strong familiarity" with the internet to even be making a survey
both are equally important, in different ways, for different reasons and in different situations
the people you describe are one side of a spectrum that takes things for granted, i've seen some of the opposite side who have this hollow lack of appreciation for beauty, emotion, imagination or art and it is an equally sad sight
the solution lies in balance, something i've seen far too little of

Yep. And no 10-20 minutes of commercials for TV shows.
While they can be skipped with DVR i would rather not even have them intertwined with the show in the first place.
