Just found an interesting site listing 'pirate' book sites, where it specifically calls out lendink.com as NOT a pirate site, complete with listing Dale Porter's explanation, and a detailed explanation of the relevant bits of, for instance, Amazon's lending rules.
Except in this day and age they would be treated as terrorists and have SWAT teams sent after them. Then be thrown out of college but still charged for any remaining time on their degree.
Quick, get Sheriff Joe Arpaio in to defend them, isn't that his line when he goes after the (poor) illegals, but not those (rich whites) employing them ("oh, they must have thought the Hispanics were legal so we won't chase them")?
Ah, but that's what poorly regulated capitalism is all about. The trick is getting the right amount of the correct regulation - and humanity in the process.
A lot of those are starting industries, with developing markets. That's not true of publishing or these fancy moving pictures or audio reproductions...
Your WW2 is more accurate for WW1. You weren't nearly as late joining WW2, so you were actually able to help more. Even if it took Germany stupidly declaring war on you, or you'd have only bothered with the Pacific theatre...
Even so, he still managed to make it sound like he was answering the wrong question. Most people don't separate the two - they'll conflate the passport/boarding card check with the physical security. I don't know if this guy was poorly quoted, but he could at least have made it sound like something other than "We bolted the barn door real good!" to the sound of fading horse hooves.
I might need an internet connection to first play the game (register), or for periodic synching. Not the same as saying you'll need it on all the time.
If that's the case (and it's not a 'feature') then that sucks and is a crappy way to force people to play. The auction house should be optional, not compulsory.
Funnily enough, when it comes to Diablo, the only things I've pirated are my own disc copies. Since it's technically illegal to do backups in the UK. But I own several legit copies...
So do I, but I think I may make a serious attempt to finish it right through. Like you, I enjoy playing with hacked characters to experiment with elements of it, but a pure playthrough, especially of the various levels, may be in order!
