I think it comes down to how much funding Mars One really has. I don't think they say how much their budget is, but if it's ridiculously low, then 2023 *is* ludicrous.
Well, the other way of looking at the US education system is that US kids get 3 months off and they *still* do pretty well compared to other countries that work their butts off for 11 months out of the year. So maybe we just have to figure out how to make education even more efficient, and we'll only have to put kids through 6 months of school a year (or less!). Basically, the smart kids would spend less time in school, and if other kids wanted to keep up, they could try to take more classes -- or drop out even earlier and start the school of hard knocks (and be young enough to go back to school after realizing how valuable free education really is).
This hologram technology certainly has the potential to be disrespectful, but then so does any kind of video, or audio, or even written media. It's not the technology itself, but how people use it.
Unless you meant that Tupac specifically was being disrespected in this particular holographic tour -- but I haven't seen enough of it to tell how good/bad this latest revival of Tupac is.

I'm sure someone out there has tried hot dog bits as a pizza topping... and I'm sure someone has also created a hot dog with tomato sauce and mozzarella cheese, too.
Personally, I think I'd prefer a higher-end sausage of some kind instead of a hot dog in my pizza crust.
The TV commercials for Siri do seem to suggest that Siri is much better than "she" is... I wonder if people would be more upset with Siri if "she" had a more manly name and voice? (I vaguely remember some study where GPS directions given by an artificial female voice was more irritating than if it was spoken by an artificial male voice.)
Harvesting spider silk from spiders isn't easy... There are a lot of problems with that plan b/c spiders actually produce different kinds of silk for different purposes, and it's hard to force them to produce the kind you want. Spiders also eat insects, so it's a bit difficult to feed them in a spider farm. Spiders also fight each other. Spiders also don't naturally produce that much silk at a time.
So maybe if we figure out how to genetically modify a domesticated spider... and breed a special kind of spider that is suited just for producing silk.
ooh, but a $25,000 level for free ISP service for life?! That might be cool if they said what dataspeeds.. and meant the users life, not the life of the ISP.
