People ACTA is the worst of all of our fears, it is just a massive compilation of what is going to constrain innovation. If ACTA does ever come to fruition the whole world will be screwed, if a person can't create because they will be infringing on someones I.P. then who is going to benefit?
We have to find a way to inform the people of what is going on, I still haven't seen anything on the news or 60 Minutes or anything of that sort; people don't know what is going on and there are many companies that need for ACTA to become "law" yet the world needs for it to fail. If things like this are going to be the norm with ACTA what is going to happen to humanity?? We have to stand up and find a way to communicate, inform your friends and family and tell them to do the same! We need to shine a light on this matter so that people understand what is happening.
That is one smart dude that understands marketing and that this is a good marketing strategy, but you have to know that you have a good solid film on your hands to be sure that you will make some money. I never go to see a movie on first day of release no matter what...I always wait to see what people are saying and check what critics are saying about the latest "blockbuster" (which most movies aren't), if I see nothing good then I won't watch it, if I find it online and like it then I recommend it to friends and we can go see it together.
Can authors and people that think this way change the world? Maybe not but they will spark the idea in someones mind that will bring forth the change, if people like Cory keep doing it their way we should see some change in our lifetime.
this is being done for the money. I do agree that people in Florida don't follow much of the laws, I live in Miami and some of the things that I see are so illegal that you wouldn't believe me. I walk and ride public transportation and I see drivers doing things in their cars that should be done at home but they do them in the car and don't pay attention to any laws. I think the RLCs are going to endanger people more than they will save because people are going to try to beat the "flash" and speed up when they see a yellow and hit the breaks if it changes to red before they make it, causing rear end accidents that will injure and perhaps kill some people.
is not or has ever been technically inclined, how in the world is he supposed to understand these things?? Maybe he is just faking what he knows while some RIAA/MPAA troll is in his ear telling him what to say...someone ask him where his daughters get their music for their iPods.
This always happens once you put a name out there specially in a negative light people want to learn more about it so they start searching and reading and maybe even experimenting with it.
Hopefully the Siegel estate tries to get a movie done something to redeem the crap that was Superman:Returns...Anyway why is Warner Brothers wasting their time and is anyone going to take this seriously??
No content because the movie production companies are scared of the theaters? It should be the other way around since the consumer would decide what is most convenient or better for them, if the theaters decide not to show a movie the production companies could charge more money for it and people could watch it at home...in turn taking business away from the movie theaters.
There is a very easy way to solve this problem, have the MPAA/RIAA send their own army to Iraq and Afghanistan...How low can these people stoop?? I agree with the boycott lets try to get this up on the news or something because I don't think there would be anyone that would go against this, can we find support with a major movie star?
