Re: Re: I'm surprised this doesn't happen a lot more often
That's the same as the majority of people knowing that stealing is wrong, yet we still all have locks on our doors. I would, at the very least, expect some kind of 4Chan attempt to claim every video owned by [name of large hollywood entity] to be in violation and have them taken down as a disruption.
I know that the SCOTUS has demolished campaign finance reform and allowed more campaign contributions, but surely the value of a card that lets you get good customer service from Comcast exceeds even that!
I don't do anything that would warrant a warrant, but I also feel very strongly that my government has no business whatsoever recording my conversations when I have done nothing illegal.
My problem now is that I need to learn more about what is exposed and what is not, and how best to navigate the surveillance to maintain what privacy I still have.
I think that, as with the 2-minute-rule in the NFL, where all calls are automatically reviewed as the clock runs down, the police in the USA need an automatic review. Someone dies in police custody? Straight to trial with a special prosecutor. Evidence disappeared in police custody? Straight to trial with a special prosecutor. Armored vehicle and assault weapons broken out of storage? Straight to trial with a special prosecutor.
None of those things should ever be allowed to be seen as 'routine'.
If you submit a "right to be forgotten" demand, then Google should forget you entirely, not just cherry pick that negative article. Searches based on your name should say "[Name] has been removed from all searches to satisfy a right to be forgotten demand"

The pattern:
Civil dispute in which a company wrongs an individual - mandatory arbitration in which the company is already determined to be innocent
Crime committed by individual against company - Felony
Crime committed by company against individual - A fine less then, but not equal to the profit from the crime.
