Considering that the law no longer exists, how are they able to pass the Freedom Act, which just modified the law, now? Shouldn't they have to start over?
The government has proven time and time again it's going to do what it wants to, laws be damned. Even if something they do is found to be illegal, no one is ever punished for it.
"Watching the video, I know exactly why the marshall did it (beside obvious relishing in his abuse of power), the female taking the video was clearly running her mouth the entire time, attempting to encite a reaction from the marshalls."
How the hell do you know what she was saying? She could have been describing the situation into the mic for all you know.
This doesn't surprise me at all. I work with a guy who is a volunteer sheriff deputy, and the stories he has about morons who get hired and can't even pass the most basic training are disgusting. The union contract states that you can't fail them for not passing the required tests. You have to continue to work with them until they do pass. How screwed up is that?
They know that if their teeth are pulled and their powers limited, they'll just sit back looking smug until some sufficiently spectacular act of terror happens
I wouldn't put it past Clapper and his ilk to cause another act of terror if 215 got shut down, just so they could get even more power.
