I would assume a Wifi Router that was using 70% less Radiation or Power would work 70% or so less distance. So you have Wifi service to about a distance of 5 feet!!!
Amazon is the one who really should be sued. They're undercutting the prices, selling at a loss and putting other ebook and B&M stores out of businesses to corner the market for ebooks!!! Amazon has done far more harm.
Isn't Chicago broke? How it has money to do this. I'm still wondering why or why anyone would have in and just do whatever a sheriff wanted them to do?
$8? WOW, if only it was so little. It costs more then that to go to the cheap first showing at the places I go to!!!
So instead I pay $35 a month for Movie Pass. Which allows me to see any movie at any time. With a few rules. I can only see 1 movie in a 24 hour period. I can only see one movie once. NO repeats!! I can't see any 3D or IMAX movies. I try to see at least one movie a week if not 2. using a Club Card, I can get free drinks, Popcorn and even Movie tickets. Those free movie tickets I then use to see a IMAX or 3d or 3d IMAX movie, which is a cost of the ticket plus however much more. Then I can see the movie for free using Movie Pass for a normal viewing. You have to watch a bunch of movies to make it worth it.
I cut the cord 3 years ago, but to have Internet you still need a cord. So it's kind of confusing. I did just sign up with Comcast Cable, but for Internet Only.
I had AT&T U-Verse 18Mbps Download speed service, though I really only got around 12Mbps, but at $35 a month, I was fine with that. The problem is, my 12 months was up once again and the priced jumped up to $62. That much for that kind of speed? I could get 50Mbps from Comcast for $66 at their NORMAL price!! Comcast was showing that for $44 for 12 months signing up, and I could only get AT&T to go down to $47.50 and I'd be stuck with them for 12 month. I mean really? Why pay more for around 1/4 the speed? I told them, I warned them I'd quite. I said when does my paid up to month end, they told me, I said, fine I'd cancel then after I got my Cable modem setup and working.
About a week later I was under my House running a new Coax cable from outside to that connection to inside my Closet in the middle of my house where I keep a lot of that stuff. Plugged in my new Cable Modem from Costco. A White Motorola Cable modem. Look, the LINE was LINE and it connected. I called Comcast Up, told them what I wanted, they said for $5 more I could get their 105Mbps service. I said sure, what the hell. So for $50 a month for the next 12 month, seems good to me. Running a few speed tests. As first I was only getting around 20Mbps. Found out it was my Router setting slowing things down. After I fixed it and retested, I was getting 126Mbps Download and around 11Mbps Upload. My Upload speed is almost as fast as my download speed was with U-Verse. My upload speed with them was barely over 1Mbp.
The Next day I called AT&T to Cancel. They tried their best to get me to stay. Offered me 25Mbps service. I told them I wasn't getting the 18 I was paying for. They're saying Up to 18. If I get the 25, they guarantee it would be at least 18 and above. Then they got into the whole sharing your cable line with everyone in the neighborhood crap with cable. I repeated I had warned them a week ago. I had now pulled their modem and I'm already signed up with Comcast. Yesterday I just got my final AT&T bill in the mail showing $0.
I don't pay for TV service. I used to have a $170 Comcast bill at my old place and my Internet was a fraction of the speed I have now. I'm not going back to that. With Netflix and Amazon Prime which I already had when I used to pay for cable TV back then, I don't consider it a extra charge now as I didn't sign up after I cut the cord. I already had it. I have so much to watch as it is. I sure don't give a crap about sports. I get a most of my TV using my nice large Antenna I put up shortly after I got my house. I laugh every time I walk into Best Buy and the DirectTV guy comes up to me and starts his sales pitch, and I say NO,I don't want to pay for TV, I have a Antenna!!!
You have to get Internet from someone, and Cable is about it. Unless you're one of the lucky few I guess with Google Fiber. Though I'm getting 126Mbps right now for $50 a month. That to me is great and really overkill. 50Mbps would be overkill for me. I try speedtest on my iPhone over Wifi, and I only get around 44Mbps. Yep, Wifi Limitations!!! Full speed, you need to be WIRED, Gigabit Network!!!
Tivo experiments with a number of differt offers. I just got a new Tivo Roamio Antenna only box a couple weeks ago for $299 including Lifetime. So ZERO $0 per month!!!
So in 2 years time, I still would have only paid $299. In 2 years with that deal, it comes out to $479.76. If you continued on, will it would continue to go up. 4 years and you're up to $959.58. WOW!!! I think TIVO still has a deal going on for $49.95 for the TIVO and then $400 for Lifetime on top of that. So $449.95. But then there's no monthly fee's!!! You can see why when I saw the $299 Lifetime deal I jumped on it. I somehow got lucky and stumbled on it and it only lasted for a few days.
So if you still need a Antenna, I don't see what any of this has to do with Aereo other then Tivo buying their Customer list?!?!?!
I did just buy their Antenna only TIVO for $299 which includes Lifetime of service. So no monthly fee's The One Pass and searching for something though TV, Netflix, Hulu, Amazon, etc in a single search is nice. Plex support is coming early next month. So it'll be almost a All in one solution for me. I have Amazon Prime, Netflix, and there's Youtube and Yahoo, and plus Opera with other Apps. Add a few Tivo Mini's for other rooms which can do everything also, and it should work great as a media center replacement. I hate monthly fee's so this TIVO deal came at the right time a couple weeks ago. I snagged one up.
A big reason for this is Cops are always protecting other Cops, bad or not and the problem grows. Then it makes them all look bad. There's a reason they don't want to be recorded. Just looking at this video is a perfect example of a cop abusing his power.
They do the same for Obama!!! For a Example The Dropping Bombs on Terrorists that BUSH did. CODE PINK for example was all over his for that. Even going so far as Hanging out near his ranch. Obama has dropped 10 times as many and where are they? I just hear Crickets.
The Patriot Act. Bush signed into existence. People don't like it. It was set to Expire and OBAMA not only extended it, but expanded it. Does anyone go after him for it? No! I can go on and On. Clinton is no different. Both Clinton's seem pretty corrupt. I sure wasn't a fan of BUSH. He was a HUGE RINO which is why OBAMA has tripled down on most everything BUSH did and no one seems to care that Obama is doing it.
How could anyone ever watch 20 hours of porn at work? That's 4 hours a day, leaving 4 hours for work!!! How could you possibly get anything done with half your day on porn? Clearly that job wasn't needed. Save some taxpayer money.
They also put it on without a Warrant!!! It's on your car. Doesn't say the property of the FBI or something like that on it, I'd toss it into say the street drain. if anything you can say it must of fell off your car and ended up in the drain.
A lot of judges don't know the law. They're activist judges, which is why this country is going int the crapper!!! Why we have a President that can completely ignore Congress because has has a Pen and a Phone!!! They don't do what HE wants, oh well, do it anyway. That's part of the checks and balances. We now have a Dictator, not a President. A President can only sign a bill or Veto a bill given to him by congress, not create his own bills and laws how he see's fit. We have a Federal Government that's taken over a whole lot of State rights. At this point in time, why do we even have Local and State Governments. So many people these days think the Federal Government is suppose to do everything. When congress calls in Baseball players for Steroids, that's a huge issue. What the F does the Federal Government and Congress have anything once so ever to do with that??? Baseball is run by a Private business, Privately owned. If the drugs are illegal, then the Local and state Police can do their stings or whatever. If not and just against the rules of playing the game. The baseball commission can deal with it as they see fit. Not the F'in Federal Government. Baseball is not a national security issue!!!
Can we get rid of the Micky Mouse Patents, Literally!!! Every time they are so many other things, are about to expire they get extended, again and again. The people that created whatever it is are LONG DEAD!!! That's what the Patents were suppose to benefit. Allowing those that Invented whatever it is to make money on it for a period of time before anyone and everyone had access. Once you're dead, your Kids or Corporation or whoever should be allowed to continue to make money off of it forever and have it protected!!!
Movies, TV programs, Music, Theme parks, Tools, and on and on and on. Nothing should be longer then 20 years MAX!!! After that, Public Domain!!! Innovate, not stagnate!!!
If this guy was Innocent, he would have no reason to hide from the law like this for YEARS and YEARS!!! No Guilty people do that. In my eye's he's clearly guilty.
If they're speaking up in a court of law at their trial, Great, I'm all for that. As a Fugitive thumbing their nose at the law, that's a whole different matter.
I didn't grow up with Cable. It was a Antenna and one of them Boxes that could rotate the antenna to get channels in this spot and other channels at this spot. It wasn't great. I'd go next store to watch MTV once in a while. Back when it was actually Music Television!!!! HBO was the only Premium channel you could get.
When I was living on my own I got Cable, and I had it for about 18 years. TV only most of that time and Internet much later. It was just ME living there and 1 TV and No Premium channels, Just HD TV service with a Duel DVR Box and Mid speed Internet and it was $170 a month!!!! I hating that bill every month. What am I getting? I could never watch enough TV or use the Internet enough to justify that. I got my House a few years ago and ended Paying for TV service. I went from Comcast to AT&T U-Verse. I get Internet ONLY for $35 a month. It's not the fastest speed but it's fast enough to stream HD content from Netflix.
With the Internet, I have more content to watch then ever before. In fact to much to watch and so little time to do it. I had my Dad Move into my house because he lost his. He offered to pay to get Satellite TV service and I told him I didn't want it. I wanted no DISH on my house. I have a Large Antenna and that's all I need. He's used to things now. He doesn't work. I think he watches to much TV as it is.
I saw someplace a while back that only 4% of Cable subscribers actually watch the Sport channels. That means 96% of the subscribers are Subsidizing the costs!!! These Sports Channels cost far, far more to get then any other channel and costs are continuing to shoot up. Not that the Broadcast channels and other cable channels aren't greedy and want a bit rate increase also.
These crap is shooting up in price 10 times faster then my paycheck and for what? how about the people who actually want the sports garbage pay the real FULL cost to have it!!! You want Sports, Not a problem, it's another $50 on top of everything else per month!!! Because most everyone else is no longer subsidizing it!!!
Maybe I just don't get grown Men playing Sports making Millions. While people are cheering and saying how WE won. you didn't do anything let alone WIN, they. playing the game won!!! GAME being the key word. I don't get it. I shouldn't be forced to pay for it. Cutting the Cord I'm free to NOT pay for it or any of the other crap. 200 Channels and only watch 20 of them. That's how it was when I had Comcast. They screw you by making the channel packages be so that you have to get the Most expensive one just to get that 1 channel that you want. So F them I'm NEVER paying for TV service ever again. At least that way. I pay for Netflix because the price is right. I'm not forced to pay for SportFlix on top of it and cost 3 times at much!!!
I'm Glad Sony is against this idea!!! See why wants to waste time downloading a torrent of their program that's only shows part of it and is really a advertisement. Yes, Keep that stuff OFF, and the Full Normal versions of their programs can be downloaded without time being wasted automatically!!!! I'm just saying, or guessing this is how it is.
