Not defending a single other thing.
A web page with just the words in the same order shoudl have cost them a quarter (or a couple).
The problem is the law encourages the spray and pray methods by penalizing anyone who attempts to use logic.

"It is not the intention to target individuals selling isolated CDs from their own collection, but rather the active bootleggers manufacturing unauthorised copies for sale. In the case of an individual selling unauthorised items from a personal collection, if following receipt of a “cease and desist” letter the offending items are withdrawn, any costs would be minimal, or might be waived. "
Well you are paying them way to fucking much skippy because thats exactly what the fuck you did.
Please publish your 'cease and desist letter' if you are so on the up and up and you are the victim not the lady you dragged into court over a single fscking cd.
Willing to bet - the demands were insane which added to the feeling it wasn't a real thing but yet another scammer making use of the fear of the german courts.
"However, when the full facts of this particular case came to light and it was clear the individual is not the type of person Eric Clapton, or his record company, wish to target, Eric Clapton decided not to take any further action and does not intend to collect the costs awarded to him by the Court."

You went batshit over a SINGLE fscking CD & the fact the law allowed you & then made an innocent who had no idea it wasn't a shitty copy of your music pay for the pleasure of being targeted and blamed for harming your income...

Perhaps the FAA staff are just acting out of an abundance of caution?
I mean they saw nothing wrong with the 737 MAX & pushed for them to be back in the air right away before ignoring the crashes made them look that much dumber.
They took a hands off approach there and it bit them in the ass, so now they are going to overcompensate moving forward.
It sounds completely illogical, which means its probably the truth.

The Old Guard was a comic before it was a movie.
Rather interesting premise... immortals from various ages doing things to try and keep the world on the right path... it me, before I figured out humans aren't worth saving.
Once again I point out making those who send bogus takedowns having to pay even a quarter for each erroneous url, would result in an improvement in the quality of notices. It doesn't sound like a lot but when you look at some of the spray and pray notice senders who generate urls based on a formula of where things MIGHT appear it would add up quickly.
Aww poor Craig, nothing ever goes his way.
He forgot to DMCA his nudes where he wasn't looking for girls he was looking for employment.
He never did answer me if he still had the folex he was wearing in the pictures. Is it bad when a gay guy looks at your dick pics and is more interested in your watch? I think so.

"None of those cases would have provided a reasonable social worker in Defendant’s position with fair notice that fabricating a social services report violates constitutional rights related to a criminal investigation."
What in the actual fuck.
Creating a fake report that results in a criminal investigation that only rests on your fake report TOTES doesn't violate rights.
There is no clear case law stating that government employees shouldn't lie or fabricate evidence so lets just let her go.
We can totes suborn perjury & then claim no harm no foul.
Your due process rights aren't Constitutional so you can't hold the bad actors responsible unless we had a case where we made a ruling that clearly says railroading someone to jail with faked evidence is actually a really bad thing and violates your Constitutional rights.
So what if you were given a shit lawyer, spent 10+ years in prison for a crime you did not commit & the single most important thing was this report saying you totes admitted you killed your baby.
I mean its not like she was denied parole 5 times for refusing to admit she hurt her baby.... oh wait...
Sweet Jeebus.
Her "defense" lawyer didn't bother to call the coroner who did the autopsy on the child who disagreed with the whole shaken baby syndrome. Leaving the jury to think SBS is a definitive thing instead of junk science... like when they got actual experts to look at the records and they stated the injuries were in line with the original story that the guy watching the kid had him on his shoulders & fell in the yard.
Wait... so the cop told the guy who had fallen while carrying the baby he was lying & just covering up for the mother over & over. Then told him to tell a story that supported the made up claim that mom had shaken the baby the night before.
So its not just made up claims that screwed her, it was a cop who made a decision what happened & then pushed as hard as he could to arrive at that conclusion. Thankfully he's not a cop anymore... hes an investigator for the DA now. o_O

Re:
The cops notes would do it.
If the cops report said nothing about her admitting to the crime or any of the other details it would make it hard for the cop to testify to the "truth" of the case workers report.

It's a pity they are so worried about how the bad cogs make the system look rather than removing the bad cogs.
Justice no longer is what it was intended to be & everyone pretends it was always like this.
The rich get off & the poor go to jail for hundreds of years for having a joint.
The system is completely unbalanced but the powers that be refuse to accept that.
We have a Judge shopping his court to those who will benefit greatly from his rulings, but there isn't enough will to put an immediate stop to it. There is no way anyone can claim this judges antics aren't showing clear bias & even a moron in a hurry can see that defendants will not get a fair hearing.
The rest of the system is content to slowly walk the wheels of justice to maybe sorta kinda suggest that he actually follow the rules while millions of dollars are extracted over some of the broadest stupidest ideas that never should have been awarded a patent...
The justice system won't help rich white folk, what chance do colored people stand?

This wasn't a he brushed my virtual breasts while doing something else. This was someone who set out to harass a woman by invading her space & the continuing actions remove the possible doubt of it was just a bump & she screamed rape.
One does wonder how many more ways you can twist yourself into seeking some way to invalidate what she saw, how it made her feel, Metas helper running away, & refusing to see her video then issue a report based on blaming the user because their safeguards are perfect & she was just to slow & stupid to activate them in time.
We live and die by perception, and how someone using a word that sounds insulting to someone invading another person space for more than a brief moment is comparing apples to durian.

Obviously you've never been cornered & felt someone exercising power in a way that makes you feel small & alone... and then discover if you say anything about it you get branded as an over sensitive bitch who just wanted to make trouble for Joe.
Just because the KKK burned a cross in the yard, doesn't mean they were REALLY trying to scare the black family.
Still wonder why some women refuse to report being assaulted yet?
There is always someone helpful ready to explain what happened to them was just a misunderstanding & she just has regrets & is trying to get even.
But please do go on with your expert review of a situation you never saw but you know you need to distrust what the reporter of the event said because... well shes just to sensitive.
