Punishing someone for what they said when it causes harm is not the same as shutting down communications tools, themselves, for what someone MIGHT do. I find it amusing that people keep making this comparison as if they were the same thing.
And this is why I tell everyone: DO NOT TALK TO THE POLICE. You do NOT have to answer any questions. EVER. If they insist on taking you in, you insist on a lawyer, and if that lawyer doesn't advise you to keep your damn mouth shut, FIRE THEM.
I love how you assume, automatically, that he's a libertarian. Has he ever claimed political affiliation? Or are you just pulling that out of your ass?
The point was not to indicate that the message was from the Conservative Party, but to implicate them in the fact that such a material is still being mined, produced, and exported in spite of the very real health issues. So... how is he right?
To question 2, I have to wonder where you got that. I've yet to read anything from him confirming the validity of 3rd party liability. 3rd party liability is stupid, putting the blame on parties other than those responsible, usually in a search for more cash.
Neither of these statements are entirely true. It depends upon the state you are in. Not all states ban the interception of audio. I did work security, and all of the cameras I was in charge of were audio capable on many, many sites.
Many would argue that point, but since you'll continue your mindless screaming of 'yes he did!' and 'lalalalalala! I can't hear you!' we'll just leave you to troll.
So, you accuse him of a crime and he needs to prove his innocence. Sorry, doesn't work that way in this country. You can spout all the invective and accusations you wish, but without a shred of proof to support your own allegations there is no need to pay a single bit of attention to you.
'They're not 'upset citizens'. They're a bunch thuggish assholes who took advantage of some perceived wrong to go on a week-long binge of destruction and violence.'
This implies that everyone that was rioting is a 'thuggish asshole.' Be more clear if you don't want mistakes.
Re: "The idea is deceptively logical at the surface."
'You people'? Seriously? Since when is it my responsibility to come up with business plans for someone else? if they can't do it, or pay someone to do it, then they should just die in peace, and leave the rest of us be. Techdirt is just about the only source of 'news' I bother with. Any time I want other news, I'll access a news site. Now tell me why I should pay for the privilege of seeing facts buried under tons of ads?
Don't go adding crap to my bills, which I already can barely afford, for things I will not use. Period.
Sheesh, it's thick, today, isn't it? I'm less than knowledgeable about such things, and I can put the pieces together. They had a contract with a company to produce this lotion. Before the product hit the markets, they split from the company, yet they still put out the product the partner company had worked hard on creating for them. If copyright were not in place on a stupid fucking bottle, it would be a simple contract dispute, and it SHOULD BE, but copyright rears its ugly head, once more.
No, they're saying a group of short words is more secure than a single word using numbers and upper and lower case letters. There is a slight distinction, since I can come up with rather long words that would still be less secure.
