I am comforted by the knowledge that should the movie Air Force One occur in real life (let's be honest, the TSA would be more concerned with testicles and breasts than AK-47's), Harrison Ford would be able to find a reasonable supply of armaments in the luggage area when he gets back on the plane half way through.
Also, this happens to be the one loaded weapon (out of how many?) to accidentally fall out of luggage. I'm not saying they're letting through 90 wt% loaded armaments, but if the TSA isn't involved than you don't even get a show.
Lastly, if it "isn't the duty" of the TSA to screen checked bags, why do they insist on letting us all know they were rutting around in them with a little plastic tag where our crippled locks used to be? I can take that as a sort of dark punchline to an otherwise dark joke, but this is one of those moments where I have to question the directors motives in changing up the theatrics.
I honestly tried to come up with a decent list. Then I struck algorithmic gold when I let go of the pretense that politicians are basically decent human beings just trying to get through the day like the rest of us. To that end, I give you the core of my loop:
void Print(string name_of_politician, string reason_for_cluelessness){
cout << name_of_politician & " is clueless because " & reason_for_cluelessness;
}
To build your own list simply pass the name of any given politician for the name_of_politician argument and bang your head on the keyboard for the reason_for_cluelessness argument.
Honestly, I find it hard not to think of most politicians as clueless. Sure, there are a few great people trying to do good for those they represent. But, they are far and few between the execrable corpuscles I see spewing bilious fodder between grandstanding gestures of grandeur these days.
Wait, wait, wait... She admitted she was completely wrong in how she was approaching the situation AND in how she was attempting to resolve her moral queasiness. So, how the hell does she get away with the SAME EXACT CONSTITUTIONAL VIOLATION in her revised law? Yes, I'm making the argument that a pacifier, LED gloves, and stuffed animals could plausibly be construed as protected speech. Also, her new law is completely impotent outside of state property, where most raves actually occur. She's done nothing to protect anyone. NOTHING!!! Next time I see someone killed by a stuffed animal I may eat some crow, but until then I say she has a severe case of the head-up-ass-itis that's been spreading around the government recently (and there's probably a huge pile of sand in there for her to burrow her head into as well).
I see LOCKSS being used on a much broader scale in the future. The solution to this kind of blatant censorship policy already exists. We (those pesky internet dwellers) already fixed the inadvertent version of what these bumbling idiots plan on doing on purpose.
But... but... but... we didn't have instant action replay with commentary, sponsors, and three idiots parroting two polar opinions and a non-opinion for four hours beforehand.
At least they are finally here with us in the internet age: they aren't reading the agreements before clicking "ok," just like the rest of us. Now they just need to start watching porn while in session. It would definitely make channels like C-SPAN more interesting. After all, that's what the internet is for.

"any time you hear someone say something ... [so stupid] ... your brain shuts down your ears"
Unfortunately, I was reading this article when my brain panicked. My ears shut down, but alas, I was unable to stop reading Samuels' pithy remarks on how beneficial the union has been to itself. I was able to finally stop reading when I voluntarily refused to accept the signals from my eyes, but it was too late! Samuels had left me speechless with his obtuse aspirations of noble elitism. I had become deaf, dumb, and blind. It took nearly a whole ten minutes of running around in a uni-sensed world, screaming for liberation from my ignorance constructed cage and attempting to read my LCD screen in brail (didn't work as planned) to break the shroud of Samuels. When I finally came back to the land of sound, sight, and speech, I apologized to the officer at the door (damn neighbors) and sat to collect my thoughts. I realized that my response to Samuels was moot as for all his gloating, he has buried himself in a pit of cognitive dissonance. Its most fitting that a representative, such as Samuels, of a union of luddite educators should fail to understand the reality of the situation posed. That such a supposedly astute collection of individuals could misconstrue the ability to deliver annoying emails and fliers as a form of absolute administrative power suggests their incapacity to fulfill the duties to society they profess would be otherwise abdicated. I'll end this tale of inconsequential tragedy with a quote that sums up my thoughts on Samuels:
That reminds me of "The Rock" when the captain in the shower room gives his "foreign, sir, and domestic" speech... right before being shot up. The irony is that his fake death was still more poignant than the slow decay of our constitution, which is just sad. Its like watching a train run over an old lady's legs at 1 mile per year.
It is my professional opinion that paint alone is not sufficient to cause this level of brain damage. Blunt trauma to the head (with a red stapler?) on the other hand...
I wonder if they think we engineers are into S&M. Its so much fun to have your hands tied behind your back while getting fucked in the ass by bad and/or useless laws.
Speaking of public:
If Ms. Magee does get $500,000 out of this, wont the local DA have no choice but to press charges for prostitution?
If not, would the TSA be setting a new precedent for prostitution by legal force (which I shall dub profitable litigious sex, or PLS for short)?
Its kind of an awkward position the TSA may be setting up for all those deadbeat johns out there.

I award you no [internets], and may God have mercy on your soul. "
