You realize the poem falls flat this time, since what Koby said this time, at least, is actually on the mark?
You've got to be able to agree with people you don't like when they are right, and keep the mockery switch off in those cases. Otherwise, you fall into the same behavior as those who would make policy decisions just because it "Makes the libs cry"
Remember when Parler banned people, and didn't tell them why until there was a backlash, and then a bunch of trolls tried to claim Parler gave a reason and that why it was different? Be prepared. The bullshit is coming.
I guess I'm in the minority but I enjoyed watching the Olympics, though the USA network's coverage was usually more interesting to me than what was on NBC. I'm usually up pretty late and it was fun watching the sports live at night. There were some amazing emerging athletes, like Eileen Gu and Ayumu Hirano. Johnny Weir proved to be one of the best sports commentators ever this year. The incident with Remi Lindholm and his frozen penis was pretty hilarious too. I think one reason ratings may have been down is that there weren't many Americans that were expected to dominate this time around, plus the NHL players didn't play on the hockey teams.
this was likely in response to things like the ski jump which were with fake snow directly in front of some stacks that LOOKED like nuclear reactor towers. They were actually industrial cooling towers from a shuttered factory, but the gist is the same the Winter Olympics were largely held in a location with no snow or winter but all manufactured snow next to industrial areas.
I have one, spent that morning tinkering with it, and for me it was completely unusable. I mean the pedals would physically spin, but you couldn't load the OS or log in. So for me at least, you not only couldn't access classes, you couldn't change resistance levels. You just got stuck staring at the circular loading wheel.
There was one brief moment where it tried to log me in, but it couldn't authenticate.
Re: Re: Re: Some AI generated works shouldn't be public domain.
Because, I suspect, that you don't understand the problem.
This is very much in keeping with the conservative thought pattern. Either something is black, or it is white. Either it is free, or it is not free. Public domain is free, so it's difficult for someone who thinks that way to understand that something not public domain could also be free in a different way.
And lest anyone think I'm just demonizing conservatives because I'm not one:

You know, before 2016 neither you nor I ever realized 90 million americans are that stupid. And that was probably the prevailing assumption among upwards of 8 billion people.
But he did. Credit where it's due. He's simply the Rain Man of grift.

Did Copilot write the code, or did a human write the code with the assistance of Copilot? If the former I see no reason why it should be eligible for copyright protection. If the latter, why do you believe the copyright is in jeopardy? Has such a copyright been challenged or voided?
Then came color and images and audio and video and all the stupid judgements made based on what someone looked or sounded like, not on the content of what they were saying
As opposed to the stupid judgements made based on the assumption that everyone was the "default" white male?
Appeal to authority is a fallacy no matter how you use it, but it's especially stupid if you post it anonymously without any evidence as to why you should be trusted.
The Olympics used to be about sport. Covering the Olympics was about news. Now, it's just another "reality" TV show, and a poor one at that. The Olympics now is large part business, even larger part politics, while sport is hardly there at all--and only on the surface. NBC needs to air it where it deserves to be seen: only by the idiots who'd choose to pay to watch it. Of course, the idiot advertisers will pay for just about any airtime they can get.
Perhaps one day in the future, scientists will invent a way to make exercise machines that do not require internet access. Such an amazing and fantastic invention will be locked up behind patents.

Publicity
Anyone still want to claim there's no such thing as bad publicity?

Here I thought that the Olympics were in China (54 reactors) this year. Gee, I hope she isn't talking about the US (93 reactors)...

Where platforms have to be, well, PLATFORMS and they can't be both publishers and platforms.
And well, Google and Amazon can always go to a court after the fact and have a judge rule if they can keep things on or not, right?
