I'm willing to guess that this is as transparent as the thickest fog on a really crummy day (the "so thick you can cut it with a knife" type of fog), or a white-out. However in this case, we have the MPAA given the tools to navigate this fog/white-out, while Congress is left to survive for themselves. Yes, blindly reaching out for something that could mean life-changing results, and Ron Kirk isn't going to let the real people in charge of these kinds of decision making to them.
Seeing how things are going, someone out there is going to make a game out of this and it'll be titled "Charles Carreon vs. the Internet," and his starting weapons will be obvious: a shovel, a briefcase and several letters.
He'll fight off internet trolls on different levels, based off different websites, while trying to earn $20,000 for him and his wife... and maybe FunnyJunk. To win and move on to the next level, you must dig your way out in order to, well, move on. In the end, he'll face off Matt Inman at the final level, a court room, where the final judgment will be lay down and he will earn all of that hard-earned money after successfully "suing" a blog, a donation website, two charities, a micro-blogging site and a tech news site (maybe two if he stumbles upon this site...)
If you have any ideas you like to submit, feel free to add on. I'm waiting for when Carreon sues me for parodying him in a video game.
... Uh, what? I feel like I'm missing something here. Can you explain more into this nonsensical babbling you're trying to preach? How is he manipulating people? I only checked the Oatmeal once already and I checked only two or three pictures he made for his site. And... I never felt anything of the sort where he's providing any subliminal messages to hack into Carreon's (or should I say your) account and mess around with his website and send him stupid e-mails!
If what you're saying is true, then show us these facts! Show us how Inman is sending these subliminal messages and prove that you're not this crazy lunatic you're painting yourself as.
Just ask me: do you know if he is impersonating a charity and, if so, how?
Otherwise I got nothing to say. This... this is really low. More low than having someone suing two respectable charities. Hope you're enjoying your husband's fame in idiocy.
Recently I've beginning to think about getting three different patents for not me but for the Internet to, hopefully, combat these patent trolls. One patent will be based around suing about patents, another will cover copyrights, and the last will cover trademarks. That way when a company sues for one, two or all three complaints, we could swoop in, sue them for infringing on our patents!
Plus it'll give them a taste of their own medicine... that is if anyone hasn't taken a patent on this (or this is entirely too stupid to work with).
Well, if he were to do these things Inman's suggesting and also take up the opportunity to make an apology, he's going to be spending plenty of time writing to the whole Internet for his stupidity... but then again, why should he apologize? He provided some good entertainment and he has become another symbol in the Hall of Internet Stupidity, and we could use that to show future lawyers what would happen if you mess with something we use on a daily basis!
Huh... guess I called it too soon for my "Everything You Know is Wrong" quote... oh well. Like I care about when I used it and mainly on Carreon and others "associated" with him.
Now where would be that popcorn I was planning to make...

And now my brain is hurting. I'm off to get some medicine, and some bleach, to treat it.
