He hadn't put the gear down? Now that would be a bumpy landing.
This is just one more reason not to fly if at all possible. I would certainly hope that this pilot is no longer allowed to fly in any role other than passenger. You really have to wonder how often this sort of thing actually does take place in the cockpit. I will not make or answer cell calls while driving my car, and not just because it is against the law in many states. It is a distraction from the task at hand, and I see the results of that every single day on the roads. I wish I had an RPG launcher on the hood of my car at those moments.

Re: Begging the question
The government does not feel it is bound any longer by anything, and will do what it wants, regardless of the constitutionality or reasonableness of it. They do not care what your opinion is, or mine, or anyone else who does not agree with them. They own the police, the judiciary, and the mindless drones who keep voting them in repeatedly, despite their many public and egregious offenses agains the common good. The only thing that will define these boundaries is a wholesale uprising of the majority of the populace, with the extermination of the present government as the first step. Other than that, nothing will change for the better. Ever.

Germans seem to prefer powerful controlling authorities
At least that's what their history demonstrates. So they are getting what they want. Not what is right, but what they want. To be told what to do by a powerful controlling authority, thus relieving them of personal responsibility and decision making. Just like right here in the good old USA.

Well, this is Italy, isn't it?
The same Italy that has had about sixty-something governments and 25 prime ministers since WWII? They have not had a stable government in memory, and this is just one more example of the chaos that pervades it, and is why most Italians consider anything the government says or does a joke. If their entire government died overnight, the net effect would be negligible to the common man or woman.

I have a hearing aid
Matter of fact, I have two, but the one only transmits to the other, because the one side is functionally deaf, or "un-aidable". It works pretty well, and I am very happy with it, but the cost is truly scary. This setup cost me over $3000, and my last one was $2000. They don't last forever, the technology is always improving, and my hearing is always worsening, thus making getting a new aid every so often kind of unavoidable.
The fact that most insurers will not pay for them is what is keeping most people who need them from purchasing them. I have plenty of friends and family who really could benefit from an aid, but cannot afford them, so I have to speak louder to them than I would like. If I live to retirement age, you can bet I won't be buying any more hearing aids on a fixed income. Medicare will not pay for them either. It's too bad, because hearing impairment makes your life far more difficult than it should be, but if I had a choice between hearing better or putting food on the table or paying the rent, I'll choose to hear worse.
If there were enough demand, and unit sales volume were to get high enough, perhaps the prices would come down, but I doubt it, so competition such as this is undoubtedly a good thing. Yes, you may not get all the technological sophistication available at that price, but any improvement in your hearing is better than none, so I hope to see more of this. If the price of hearing aids came down to the sub-$1000 range, it would probably attract quite a few more buyers, and if it were to go below $500, the possibilities are huge.

My big question today is - How does boB avoid getting the living shit slapped out of him every day? I mean, if a normal person were to have a conversation with him, I'd bet that it would be no more than two minutes before his nose would be bleeding.

They're publicly funded, and "free", and now they claim that piracy is a threat to them? Then let them go out of existence by refusing to contribute a dime to them and their stupidity. They deserve to.

Louis Vuitton makes some of the most butt-ugly shit you can buy. Why people pay a premium for that is beyond comprehension, but I suppose it could be explained away by the usual More Money Than Brains crowd. Why Hyundai would want to associate with their crap is also questionable. People who buy LV products are generally people with no real taste or discernment, but it does assist muggers in identifying their prey more easily, which is not a bad thing.

I guess the Arizona State Legislature blows ponies
Or maybe dead iguanas. Fuck them where they breathe. What a bunch of over-reaching sacks of monkey shit they are. People who vote for bills like this should be thrown into an active volcano, and their offspring sent to Catholic orphanages.

Actually, pay a lot of attention to him, as in kicking the snot out of him. And stomping his dentures out on the curb. And scalping him with a pair of chopsticks. Gouging his eyes out with a wooden spatula. There's a lot of attention that needs to be paid to loser lame-ass morons whose mothers were prostitutes on donkey ranches.

It would be more just if all of their bones were broken, after being beaten with iron bars by a screaming mob of their victims. They will never find humility, until they draw their last breath, and nobody cares if they do. Having them beaten to a pulp is so much more satisfying than their finding humility.

Re: A few pointers
Rather than a paddle or a boot, I think a major beat-down with crowbars, bats and paving stones would be a fitting chastisement for that subhuman POS. Just leave him alive enough to know what was done to him and why, but with no ability to identify the celebrants.
