This is actually a good move by Google. Once they help put up the paywalls for the newspapers, they can then turn around and start back up providing it for free (well, they can get ad hits and such, but you know what I mean).
I see this as Google just putting up the cages around the newspapers and letting them hang themselves.
I believe in Chicago (I don't live there, so please correct me if I'm wrong), you can own a handgun, you just can't carry one outside your home. Therefore, the second amendment isn't being infringed.
You do realize that not only don't we live in a Democracy (We live in a Republic. In a Democracy, we can, with 51% of the vote, kill all of a certain religion if we wanted), but the voting as it stands now (with the electoral college), it isn't equal and fair. Your vote counts more if you live in a certain state.
I don't think so. Note how the most recent story is talking about how you can bypass the extra screenings and such. Seems like it's exactly what is explained above.
You know.. this reminds me of a book I once read called, "The Prince". The jist of it is here..
If you capture a providence, place someone terribly cruel in charge and leave for a few months. When you get back, show that you have an open ear for people to complain. Allow them to complain to you and you behead the person you put in power, winning over the people. You can now place restrictions on them that seem tame compared too what you saved them from.
I once lost a $50 item that was cleared to fly that week. The TSA agents said so clearly, but the supervisor said he didn't want it on the plane. So I was forced to toss it out (or pay $60 to ship it to myself).
The TSA people can do whatever they want. Rules be dammed.
They spoiled me. Yeah, they are expensive, but I gladly pay a very high price when I can just to have the experience. Heck, they even have a live band playing classical music in the lobby. :)
If by "foolish", you mean that he stood up for what he believed in and did something that would hurt himself, but perhaps correct a wrong that the government did..
I can only hope my son grows up to be that foolish.

All 3 will get you in a load of hurt.

Sounds like the TSA is going to be beheaded soon.
