We need to remove Luddites like this from our government. We have become a digital nation; our leaders MUST become digitally aware (if not savvy) - so our only recourse is to convince digital natives to step up and run - and for us to elect them soon -before these clueless ones finish ruining this country. These guys are worse than the first senators who declared they would never "dial a phone" as it was beneath their dignity (or over their heads).

Re: Past time to get rid of license plates altogether
Unfortunately, too many states are implementing "toll by plate" and are discussing "ticket by plate" using LPRs instead of toll-booth attendants. Much cheaper for them - and much worse for us.

Why are they whining again?
$18B for 13M connections - looks like $1384.61 per drop; with they way they price it, there will be $100/month "over costs" (never say profit - they are as rare in Telco's as they are in Hollywood accounting) so they will have a total re-pay in 14 months followed by decades of massive cash flow.

Had my classmates and I had those kind of rules...
... we would have spent the day typing in every word on the list - and gotten everyone in our school doing it. Let's see them come arrest the entire student body of every school, and all their parents.
Not sure which is winning here... but trying to force users to only use your materials in your device which is designed to go around copyrights, patents, and trademarks by letting me make my very own Left Shark is definitely a trophy-winner in one (or both) of these categories. Might even make Honorable Mention in the Massive Entitlement Based Ego category.
"we haven't played any of YOUR music. We banned all *AA music from our network. We only play independent and our audience is growing again. Thank you."
For these folks it seems that they do have a certain point of view which doesn't quite match the rest of the world.
"violence", in and of itself, real or imaginary is acceptable. They seem fine with it. However, "gratuitous" violence will not be tolerated in their world.
That's a mighty strange fine line they are walking there.
I say we get rid of all the gratuitous violence and go back to good old fashioned gratuitous sex.
"handheld". So on a tripod counts or not? Helmet mounted? Google Glass? I have a camera on my telescope - I can get some damn fine images and video from a LOT more than 150 feet...
I fear that this is going to continue to a sublime level of stupidity.
