Look. This guy lives in Harrison, AK, probably the most boring place in the world. I know, I spent many a weekend there working at a warehouse. The place is a dry county!
So this guy got sick of running across the state border in search of some hooch, plus someone probably stole his sheep, and he wrote up a fake EULA. So what? Pay the man! He has to live in Harrison!
The FBI did not raid this place because they feel that gold farming is wrong. They raided the place because there were reports that in-game gold was being bought using hacked/fraudulent bank accounts and sold again, AKA money laundering. Check the game-pron link.
Evidence? Google was caching the last location, no timestamp, and was overwriting, not creating a log. The source is also open. Your assertion does not appear to be valid.
That's why Superman was for Truth, Justice, AND the American way. If the American way included truth or justice, that tagline would be redundant.
Remember, "we are a nation of laws". Laws are laws, irrespective of truth or justice. I'm gonna go watch "The Man Who Shot Liberty Valance" again and have a good cry.
Man, you had a lot of problems with your phone. Mine works just fine. I didn't get pushed to a website, and you have 15 minutes to figure out if the app is compatible with your phone. I'm not sure why you would try to browse and download apps from a website? Also, Honeycomb is the VERSION of Android for tablets, it wasn't bundled with Android.
Tolkien wrote The Lord of the Rings to give the English people a mythology, to add to the culture. Cashing in on copyright has kept it from entering too deeply into the culture, and now his moronic estate is stifling the areas that copyright can't touch.
Nice one, Christopher. Yer dad is spinning in his grave.
Please don't refer to copyright infringers as "file sharers." Call them infringers, or even "pirates" or "thieves" if you must. File sharing has far too many legitimate uses other than infringement.
Donnicton IS right. I've worked in a lot of places, and I can't think of a single business that DIDN'T take their more important clients to a strip club if they were interested!
This used to be true for the most part, but the government was paying for the storage. Then they came up with this great idea: ditch the physical item, so they can ditch the storage! The patent examiners can be trusted not to patent frivolous "inventions"!
Dude, seriously. I can do it to these computers anytime I want. So can tons of hackers/crackers, white hat or black hat.
If these systems were secure, the malware wouldn't have gotten there in the first place. Yes, you CAN harden your system and make it secure from these guys AND the feds. It's just that these people didn't.
Making a judgment based on ideas or beliefs, yes. Morals are a different issue. If we didn't consider morals important, we would never consider using a jury.
Something I was thinking about... if I make a movie of clips from other public domain movies, would I be in violation of this law? This could really mess up the next MST3k/fractured flickers show.
