BTW, thankfully, The Netherlands hasn't sign onto ACTA yet. Mostly because they haven't even debated it yet. And that's because our deputy prime-minister Maxime Verhagen, refused to release the document for our government.
Fuck copyright, fuck Big Media. This is day 27 of my boycott of big media.
I will not buy a single dvd, cd or movie ticket this year, unless I can buy it from the artists/moviemakers themselves. Nor will I touch a digital download of any of those files. I don't need it, I don't want any of it. The big names behind the MPAA and the RIAA can rot in hell.
But whenever we come up with constructive suggestions, they always ignore it. Fuck them, we don't need them anyway.
Day #24 of my big media cold turkey detox. (no dvds, or cds from the major labels and moviehouses for the rest of the year, nor any downloads of the same.)
To be fair to Jon Stewart, he has people reading most of the books for him. But his team does put in a lot of effort to investigate what they are saying. I wish more news outlets would put in that much due diligence.
Everything old is new again. Or as Robert Jordan once wrote:
"The Wheel of Time turns, and Ages come and pass, leaving memories that become legend. Legend fades to myth, and even myth is long forgotten when the Age that gave it birth comes again." And in Hollywood's case, that age lasted about 100 years.

Re: Re: Re: Re: Our Government/Entertainment Industry must be stopped!!!
This was a total grab for control. The RIAA couldn't have it happening that artists would 'make money' through other means than their jacked up services, thus they asked their good friends over at the DOJ and FBI to get the site hijacked sorry taken down, and have the owners arrested.
And if it weren't for the Canadian, the Russians, the British, and many people in the underground, etc etc etc etc.
Fuck you playing the "'we' saved the world during world war 2" card...

There has been no trial, and yet the FBI took down a website. On what grounds did the FBI have the right to do this?
