call me a skeptic, but..
.. there is no way that I believe CBP/DHS keeps seized laptops from border (+/- 100 miles) searches and doesn't download all the data and share it with their friends in low places...
They tried and failed to SHARE it, maybe - but there's a collection somewhere just waiting to be shared should anyone express interest in it..

That's not the point.
If everyone actually posted their REAL votes, how could the anointed candidate be declared the winner? Are you trying to inject truth and accuracy and public accountability into voting? What will you want next? A real choice in candidates who would actually support the people they are supposed to represent? heresy, I tell ya. you kids.

Just do the math
Cost of Missile: $20; Price to gov't by military contractor: $500,000; Profit to company: $100,000; bribes.. I mean.. campaign contributions: $380,000.

I see Collateral Damage
1) Every company outside the US demands return/refund. Buys Huawei to replace all cisco gear. 2) Cisco loses 100% of its non-US market 3) 60,000 employees out of a job 4) taxpayers foot the bill as Cisco sues the gov't 5) The USTR drops all "US Exports of Technology" from their negotiations - 'cause there won't be any.
And exactly how many REAL threats were thwarted by this?

PUBLIC loses again.
An Astronaut - whose entire career was funded by the PUBLIC - while in flight for NASA on the ISS - which are both funded by the PUBLIC - makes a magnificent transformative FAIR USE video for the PUBLIC to watch and learn and remember David's version and the PUBLIC loses it for another ONE HUNDRED YEARS before it enters the PUBLIC domain (if ever).

Right up until the ***IA or a major biz gets hurt by this...
Find someone whose parents named them after a star - or one of the guys named "Ronald McDonald" who have a record for something... then have them sue to remove all trace of their name from the web...Is there a "Johnny Cash" out there with a drug bust to hide??? Or a "Prince" ???
We know how this will turn out - just a matter of how absurd it has to get first...any bets?
Calling all frats... This is a perfect flash mob/photo bombing opportunity.. Let's get 50 guys to show up in police uniform; 30 in Ted Kennedy masks; background bombers with Clinton, guy Fawkes... Let's make a real event out of it...post the vids and pics on a rating site...
the absolute best marketing for a book used to be 'Banned in Boston'. We've gone through this time after time after time.. . and it is always meaningless, mindless, "my morals are better than yours" idiots running the show.
Somebody needs to ask the colonel what he meant by the word "programmer". If he meant code monkeys, then all posts are good-to-go. If he meant "people who make tv programs and get royalties forever", then we need to flush this thread and start over...
these 7 would just have had "sudden heart attack" syndrome...now there are just too many people watching...well, we'll just wait until after the next election that they all just happen to lose...
Did the NSA have anything to do with programming the voting machines???
