One has to wonder just home many of these so-called "journalists" work for publications now owned (wholely or partly) by Rupert Murdock, or his buddies the Koch brothers? I think it would be quite revealing...

I refuse to purchase ANY media that is DRM-encumbered, especially ebooks. I can't do much about DVDs, although I can break their DRM (including region codes) easily enough with FOSS software, so I can make backup copies. This is also why, due to the Sony root-kit fiasco, that I will NEVER purchase another Sony product, and I have in the past owned a Sony TV, dual cassette deck (still), mini-disc recorder/player (still), and more. DRM? Not in my house! To that end, I will NOT purchase any Sony DVD or CD... and BluRay? Furgeddaboudit!
Fox, the MPAA, RIAA, Universal, and all of their ilk are complete hypocrites! They seem to think that the universe operates under the principle that "what's mine is mine, and what's yours is mine also"... :-( It is time we taught them a new principle - "if you screw with me, you get the shaft"...
Ok, it's time we reverted to one-time pads and physical dead-drops to share sensitive information. Anything else? Speak/write gobbledygook. Back in the 1960's, when I and compatriots wanted to speak on the phone (concerned about wire taps) about the latest batch of LSD (or pot - I don't remember which), it was referred to as "clear camel piss soup" or some similar bit of cruft. Not that I ever indulged in such stuff... :-)
In my not-so "humble" opinion, this teenager should file a suit against the authorities for "malicious prosecution", as well as various civil rights violations. This was just totally egregious and unwarranted!
"In my opinion, don't hold your breath. Sony is the same company that took away the "other" OS option in the PS3, installed root kids on PCs via music CDs, and came up with the most convoluted anti-consumer way to sell digital music ever conceived. If Sony is our only hope to save first sale rights, we're screwed."
Sony? Won't buy from them, but I will steal from them... They deserve nothing less! And yes, I have, in the past (and still) owned Sony TV's, cassette and tape recorders, mini-disc recorders/players, CD/DVD players, and laptop computers. Wonder how much Sony cruft I've purchased since the CD root-kit fiasco? Try $0.00, zip, zero, nothing. When will I purchase more Sony cruft? When they publicly apologize for the CD root-kit fiasco, and pay everyone who was harmed by it at least $1000 USD... Yeah, and the universe will likely undergo heat death first...
Can't we just remove Lanier's license to use the Internet? Oh right, we have such a means - the DMCA take-down notice! Since bogus take-downs never result in meaningful backlash, what do we have to lose?
In case it hasn't been done yet, who wants to post the Mega front page URL and propagate it to as many FB pages as possible? I'll help! :-) Stupid pinheads in the MPAA and RIAA STILL don't get it, do they?
I stopped trusting Obama (even though I voted for him - the alternative was just unconscionable) when he backtracked on his opposition to FISA as Senator. That's when I knew he was as corrupt as the rest of that kettle of stinking fish! FWIW, I think Holder is just doing what his masters command... :-(
If we killed all the lawyers (except mine - I need him to play banjo in our bluegrass band), then we would get rid of 98% of the corrupt politicians in government at the same time... :-)
I think that the "S" Effect will soon give them a great big whack upside the head - as in "How could we have been so stupid!"... At least, one can hope!
Never go into a police, FBI, or other "law enforcement" interview without your attorney present. Always assert your 5th Amendment rights and don't say ANYTHING unless your attorney tells you to, and don't even then if you can help it. These asshats can be incredibly intimidating, and infer that if you don't talk to them you will spend a gazillion years in stir. The thing is, is that they will take everything you say out of context, add their own spin, and then get you convicted and put away for a gazillion years for something you DIDN'T actually say! So, being questioned by law enforcement? SAY NOTHING! ASK FOR AN ATTORNEY (your own if you have one)! REFUSE TO ANSWER ANY QUESTIONS!
