This is a classic case of "Petoria" their offices and such are not part of the UK and as such laws and treaties don't apply to them. I don't even know how they are a party in the UK but good for them trying to take them over...lol
People that go to the little carriers are most likely not looking for advanced phones and now for example MetroPCS is unlocking CDMA phones so the person that wants a nice phone can just buy that phone from Sprint or Verizon and bring it to them. Also I have noticed that a lot of the people who go to the little carriers are not traveling much and are just looking to save money. Most of my friends are split between MetroPCS and T-Mobile.
"At this point, I think it's fair to ask why the gov't should ever be allowed to rely on the stats put forth by the entertainment industry in passing legislation again."
As long as there is no third party doing the research with nothing to gain from either side of the discussion, there will be one sided results!
the governments dealing with ACTA are terrible, what's wrong with you?? Don't you see that they are making ACTA better and that they are making it public??
It just took them about 600 days to do so...Now all that is missing is for it to pass and I'm sure all of us will be happy to oblige!
People are scared of overages that is the reason they launch these plans, people thinking that they talk/text/browse so much that they jump on these plans. There is also the competition from smaller carriers like MetroPCS and others.
Statistics don't exist there is only opinions...yeah that's a fact...wait those don't exist either...I'm so confused!!
All the numbers are skewed, they only show what each side wants to show to prove their point. There should be an independent study by a third party that has nothing to lose or gain and this third party shouldn't be commissioned by lobbyists.
This is ridiculous but it is about time that they do this. I think we will see an uproar if this were to get on a major network and people could find out what the government is planning!
"Men lie, women lie, numbers don't." We all know musicians can't make money just off album sales, why are people still on this topic?? If they made money on albums then they wouldn't be doing anything else but trying to create new music...come on guys!
Don't know what happened, I was signed on...Anyway I don't like being an AC, so now you know it was me!
They don't do free but they drop and raise prices on products like if it was nothing to be pissed off about! They are right saying people would be mad but they need to understand that someone is always going to have a problem with what you do; and why are they looking to be liked by everyone? They already have their customers and whoever keeps buying from them does it because they believe in that product or that brand!
Now a theatrical release is over-rated and is over-commercialized, all the movies that are coming out now create a big bang the first week they come out and perhaps the second week they still have a good draw, but by the third week it is almost unheard of. Companies need to stop worrying so much of creating that first week draw as big as they want it to be because it is a lie, to themselves and to the people. The only reason they do this is because they know that people are going to start spreading the information that others want to know and if they can get you in the theater before that information is out then they got their moneys worth.
Neil Turkewitz can't understand that he needs to show proof to back what he is saying, sir you need to site multiple sources to give credit to your comments and opinions especially when dealing with something like the livelihood of the people you are supposed to be helping.
BlockBuster is just trying to make headlines guys...don't worry if they are still in business at the end of this year maybe they will surrender and get out of the way and let the real innovators take their rightful place.
These are the right people for the job, just because they have no clue what they are talking about doesn't mean that they don't mean well. That's like saying a bartender can't help you solve your emotional problems because he doesn't know what he is talking about.
