If you have a license you never paid for that sounds like copyright infringement to me.
That's like downloading a few movies and putting them on a list to actually pay for at some point in the future and just never getting around to it and hoping everyone forgets. In the meantime I'm not just watching the movies I'm putting them out there and selling them.
lol, you better have a lot more than that to actually keep data from leaving.
Are any of these "secure" servers on a network?
Are any of the other machines on the same network capable of having a usb drive mounted? If so anyone with basic knowledge could get data off of your servers and pull it down to the other computer and then put it on a usb drive.
this and the summary stated:
the GAO dismissed Google's protest saying that since Google does not have a GSA schedule contract (i.e., what you need to sell to the gov't), it was "not an interested party."
Google isn't even eligible to bid without a GSA schedule contract so it doesn't matter. If they want to play the game they have to get the pieces to even compete.
It would be like me not registering to vote and showing up tomorrow then complaining that they won't let me vote.
Learn the law and learn to spell you moron:
1st amendment absolutely applies only to the government:
"Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the Government for a redress of grievances."
It says nothing about me making a rule at my business that says you can't say "red" and if you do I can throw you out. If you don't like it you don't have to do business with me. Part of your decision to do business with me should be whether or not you agree to the terms I set forward for the business. If you don't like them don't go there.
not a freedom of speech issue. Freedom of speech only applies to your dealings with the government. Private entities can do whatever they want as you don't have to deal with them.
Customer allegedly isn't happy with their stay what can we do to fix it?
I know kick them out and don't refund their money that will change their opinion of this place.
Really how the hell did anyone think that this was a brilliant move.
High humidity can also set them off. I'm in Charleston, SC where it is frequently upper 90% humidity in the summer and if you use a device outside it used to frequently set off the moisture stickers.
I haven't checked lately but i assume they still don't work all that well.
I agree with others here. I think this was a good move and I respect Amazon for it. The publishers are pushing to raises eBook prices which is bad for everyone as your friends are going to sell and any percentage of ~0% is still 0.00.
The Authors weren't/aren't saying anything about this or if they are how its such a great idea. Sorry in my book that makes them complacent and if they got hurt by Amazon pulling physical books too, sorry but they chose their side...
I already thought this new DRM was extremely dumb since any internet connection issue would cause me to not be able to play a single player game, I hadn't even thought of connection issues on their side at the time.
Also, it makes the game a timebomb to go off. What happens when ubisoft decides they don't want to upkeep their servers anymore now no one can play their legitimate copy again. Or even worse what happens when AC3 comes out and they decide that you are done with AC2 you should buy AC3 and they shut off the servers on purpose?
but unlike boxee xbmc was made to do more stuff, weather, news, games, etc...
boxee is made for one thing only consuming content on the web and your computer. It will play local files, but so will FF if it has the right codecs and you browse to it. It is a browser. You can have it read rss feeds and video and music streams. It doesn't make for a good web surfer, but you can go to any webpage in it.
I think you're confusing the functionality of XBMC with boxee. yes it is what boxee is based on, but they do not provide all the same funcionality.
It is like saying a netbook is the same as a desktop computer. They both come from the same thing, but a netbook can't do everything a desktop can, and some stuff like portability it does better.

If I buy A book in NJ for 10.00 and pay 5% tax I just paid 10.50, but now I have to pay NC another 5% use tax so now its 11.00.
If I buy the same book in NC for 10.00 and pay 5% tax I pay 10.50 total.
They are charging extra to buy something out of state that they have no right to do.
