I have the domains registered with godaddy and the hosting is with them also.
I have considered moving the registrations locally to Canada but would move the server first. Have seriously considered it due to the potential for lawsuits more than than the seizures.
you are using the First Amendment to justify someone yelling fire in a theatre.
The poster got sued and has to pay for damages. Then tries to remove the content she posted. More than enough reason for the comment to be removed by a court order.
The site didn't make the comment. How does the site's free speech get restricted when they are not making the "speech"?
You also state "Section 230 remains not just a good, but an important law in protecting third parties from being held liable for the speech of others." This is not a question of liability on the part of the site. Just a court order removing content that shouldn't be there anymore.
spelling mistakes and I couldn't find any reference to him or the "OpAration Web Trypt" on wikipedia.

On the post: Zappos Gives Up On Canada Due To Customs Problems
a problem
My company ships to the US and never has a problem. It seems zappos has a problem with distribution agreements and not customs.
The post on zappos is very vague.
And not fair for Canadians with gift certificates/credit having to redeem them by April 1st.

amazon doesn't pay the tax
It is not an income tax that Amazon pays.
The 2 most troubling issues is the threat that Amazon is making and how local brick and mortar stores are staying quite.
Here you have Amazon telling the state what to do. And the local stores keep quite. About time stores ask for exemption on paying sales tax.

On the post: Why The Arguments That The Huffington Post Must Pay Bloggers Is Misguided: Payment Isn't Just Money
money
Now that AOL (overpaid) 315 million for the site, everyone wants to see if they can get a cut of it.
And now that money is involved, I am sure that is more than one blogger who is asking why they are posting for free when so much money is involved.
Yes, bloggers can complain, but they do get the exposure.
Either way, expect a lot of them to leave the site if they don't get money in the future.
