Whilst agreeing with what you say McDonalds are responcible for what you download according to Mandy's bill same as you are if i drove to your street and used your wireless router to download.
this is what a lot of people in the UK hate about it the other is the cost why should the customer pay for the music companies they want they shpuld pay.
and oh yes if you listen to any internet radio stations in the UK remember that the music industry say they are ALL file shearers yes included licenced ones.
Streaming any thing anywhere is legal it is the playing of msjor label content that is not but should be the whole system needs a review.
DRM needs outlawing.
Here in the UK we have Spotify but i cant see any differance between that and Pandors. Except i cant stream my playlist to friends on spotify.
But then we wont be able to do anything like that in the UK when Mandy's bill is law.
I would not trust them to give me the correct time of day. like most in this country the government and indeed most politicians are the 2nd most hated people on the planet after estate agents, but catching up fast.
oops pressed wrong button.
he is in the how to claim expenses from your government
1 building a island for ducks is out.
2 if you paid your misgauge off stop claiming interest.
3 stop paying your son/doughtier 30 grand a year to be your PA even if they are also a student.
NOT ALL OR ANY OF THESE EXAMPLES ARE MANDELSON'S expenses
but all from various MPs who have been ordered to pay back thousands. including Gorden Brown now they have to get the money from somewhere. Record Labels to the rescue.?
the copyright should belong to the creator of the costumes, not to the image distributor/ creator who own film rights only not rights to the costumes.
well that is how it should be!
at the moment this happens.
1 fan buys music
2 fan fileshares
3 non fan downloads becomes fan buys music goes to gigs
or
1 unknown band filesharers track
2 people download send unknown money
3 unknown band happy new fans happy.
now record company gets filesharers cut off web
no one file shares no new fans no new bands record industry collapse everyone returns to file sharing hey great plan.
mandys law
even Internet radio stations are classed as file sharers.!!!!
by the record companies THIS IS NOW A WAR our freedom or a useless snooped on Internet with ISPs scared to allow any one to do anything like share even our thoughts.
that is what ACTA| will do.
SteveD is right an election due in May and no one expects the government to win not even the government. so now is the time to bring in such things like this or ID cards and anything hated by the public.
Joe public may be unaware in general i only know of it being on the BBC technology section of their site the announcement was not on the evening news on TV nor any national radio news. a few local stations picked up on it including ours. (as you know mike)and a few broadsheet news papers i cant say about the sun or others as i dont read comics.
the above is from memory so please feel free to correct me if i missed something.
