If Jon Venables wanted to put this behind him he would have come out of Jail at 19 and gone on a crusade to prevent it from ever happening again. Appearances on Oprah etc...leverage his notoriety for good. That is the only way he ever could have overcome this.
As I read this I couldn't help but think that all these stats that industries come up with that get repeated are likely the beneficiaries of lazy journalism repeating the same Google results over and over.
I'm not going to speak to his motives, but given the default practice of troll on this site to throw out random "facts" I think the call for citation is not unrealistic. The thinking being that if you make a claim you should back it up with a citation, not expect the reader to track it down for you.
As much as I would love to see Google cut a country off or but one of the music companies or a studio just to end all this nonsense, I don't see how they can without triggering an onslaught of Google is too big and to evil and must be destroyed litigation.
In the face of the evidence you have provided I'd be surprised if he even replies much less links to the dozens of article that you already are familiar with.
