"We should not tolerate lies,"
And yet some dumb motherfuckers stormed the capitol to try and keep the liar in chief in office...
"Did we need fact-checkers to guide our Founding Fathers’ hands in writing the Constitution? No, what we needed was the natural, unfiltered flow of ideas from one person to another. "
Because they were likely to horsewhip each other if they lied as much as our elected officials do today.
Assholes are still telling people masks don't work, the vaccine isn't safe, horsepills will save you... and his biggest concern... someone fact checked me!!!!!
Whats that phrase... oh yes...
Christ what an asshole.

Re:
All of the evidence in cases is to be provided to both sides.
Prosecutors routinely fail to turn over evidence that might hurt their cases, their conviction rate being sacred to them advancing, and magically when they make it on the bench or to a higher legal office they take extra care to make sure no one ever challenge their wins & how they got them. Whats an innocent man in jail for a crime he didn't commit when a DA wants to be Governor?
Knowing you could be punished by the court wouldn't you make sure to print 2 copies & messenger them to both sides to cover your own behind?

Just imagine a world where someone can't upload the video because of the music the cop started playing... shouldn't the default position become to believe the person holding the camera?
I mean if the cop wasn't doing something immoral or illegal why would they attempt to abuse the legal system to hide what they were up to?

I wonder what would happen if Yelp added a badge to those who like to use lawsuits in this way.
Gotta think that reporting the fact that they've been sued 4,5,6 times to unmask reviewers who hurt their feelings might say more than any reviews might.

Re: Re: Re: Re:
'Merika where the loudest supporters of the Death Penalty also gave aid and comfort to Abortion Clinic bombers & shooters running from the law.
You can disagree with my opinion of people, but if enough of the "right" people showed up with outrage & demanded change it would happen.
People put effort into writing the FCC because they heard a naughty word on the tv that upset them horribly but don't bother writing anyone when another person is killed by cops.
People donate to PETA while a portion of the nation went to bed hungry.
People scream how taking a knee is unamerican and an insult to the troops, while they accept the substandard care the vets are getting because we've failed to keep up our side of the bargain.
People scream about how businesses are dodging taxes but keep electing the same people who give them tax breaks because they say the right thing about guns or abortion.
People screaming ALL LIVES MATTER not to support but to express their outrage that the community who is on the receiving end of a disproportionate of beatings & killings DARED to speak up and suggest that they deserve equal treatment.
So yes my opinion of humans is low enough to "know" that there are people in this nation who are more pissed off a dog got killed than another POC was shot by cops.
600K+ dead, how many of those were needless deaths because 'muh rights' and politicians who made basic steps to protect yourself & others a political litmus test. People more upset they were told to wear a mask than if they managed to make the pandemic worse and they are still doing it.

Here pay us for these "remasters", that will not be nearly as good, but we need to cash in one more time on you idiots who keep buying our product when we are openly hostile to people to kept our fans interested in playing all this time on properties we didn't care about until the mod community showed us people still want to play these older games.
But hey on the upside it is very unlikely that any current players will pick up the new products (if the anger holds, which it often doesn't. see also Nintendo sales despite their insane crackdowns). And no modder, with any sense of self preservation, will ever touch a T2 property again meaning that their games will have a shorter shelf life & no interest from players for newer content and ideas.

"Mayor Tommy Battle and Police Chief Mark McMurray even questioned the guilty verdict after the trial. "
Citizens should be very concerned that these 2 leaders who represent the concept of law & order in the town seem to think their beliefs trump the legal systems findings.
The city couldn't even be bothered to look at the 11 seconds of video before pledging public funds to defend a murderer. It is one thing to question is the charges fit the crime, it is quite another to ignore all available evidence & make decisions based on not wanting to piss off the union.
One has to wonder is someone might want to take a peek at similar cases here, I mean the internal review found nothing wrong with a cop executing someone after 11 seconds of gathering "information", anyone have any doubt there are other findings that ignore reality?

I was walking in the parking lot and saw the light on the glasses on a guy walking towards me, before he could kidnap me I maced him and then shot him!

I am more curious how a generalized statement about 'Merica seems to have been taken as a personal attack by so many people.
