Yes, I'm certain the egregious 5% or 10% (30% if you're Apple) which Amazon & Google takes off the top--after hosting the content AND handling all the payment processing AND providing a web-side storefront will continue for many years after "Big Content" has died away.
Damn shame how horribly unfair these tech companies are to musicians and others...
The only way to completely do away with the movie industry overnight would be to 'disappear' (nudge, nudge, wink wink) everybody who works in that industry.
Therefore, logically, there wouldn't be anybody around to pine for the job they didn't have. P'sh, like duh.
Can I have you're autograph? You're my second favorite troll--but only 'cause nobody beats *angry dude*
I find your comments insightful and enlightening. Would you happen to have some helpful links where I could educate myself about "Big Search, Big Piracy, and Big Hardware' and learn more about their billionaire political agendas?
yes, provided your audience has the ability to read and comprehend... if one is forced to use many small words because medium-sized words with specific definitions confuse the audience then the whole word-count thing becomes...
Never mind, you're exactly right.
Clarity and succinctness and complete lack of ambiguity.
Were I an ISP, I'd send recurring bill for the amount my disconnected customer(s) would have been paying for another year or so of service at their present plan rate(s) to the RIAA & MPAA--and expect them to pay it.
Those assholes demand I disconnect customers, then they will reimburse me the cost of my lost business.
Whilst I agree with your premise--the conclusion of building another one will simply lead to repeating the cycle of waste & stupidity.
What needs to be addressed is why did the interwebs become a 'wasteland of exploitation'? And I do not mean a trite, easy answer like "commercialism" but what is the real, underlying cause?
Sadly, the only conclusion I've come to on it is a matter of culture and social philosophy--and these need to be changed before we'll ever achieve a long-lasting betterment of our future anything.
May brain says I'd read that in "The Dilbert Future"--I could be wrong though. There's good evidence my brain has given me bad intel on more than on occasion...
Anything which exists before you're 20 years old has always always existed and is perfectly natural. Anything which is invented between when you're 20 and 50 is new and exciting, and if you're lucky you'll get a career in it. Anything invented after you're 50 is strange, unnatural, and likely to bring about the doom of the human race.

Reality
Obviously they've fallen for their own con--repeated the lie so many times they've started to really believe it is the truth.
