Lets stick around, and see what kind, and how bad, their punishment is for this. Then we'll know whom to look at to blame the next breech on. I have not seen one as of yet that really got punished properly.
That's no good sehlat. They create so many rules, that not even the regular blogs, and upcoming news websites can move without being slapped with a lawsuit. It will be the RIAA all over again.
It's just a screwed up mess. Google is not the only company doing their users wrong. Plus it does not look as though it will change any time soon. Unless the people gather and do something about it on their own.
I suspect foul play also. They should of told one of the users to take down all of the videos, but instead they said just one. I believe they did that for spite. Get two strikes against them quickly then go in for the kill. What jerks they are. Something needs to be done about it.
What really makes me mad is when I bring up the subject of net neutrality to consumers... They say... "So?" When I try to explain to them what is at stake. they say "Big deal!" I just don't think enough has been said at what the consumer could loose if net neutrality were to be lost. The whole idea of net neutrality is being hidden within the oil crisis, wars, terror alerts, etc. It needs to be out front, so the consumer can REALLY see it for what it really is.
I have seen about five new computers in the last almost two years. All of them running the Windows OS. All of them ran Internet Explorer, and all of them also had the Microsoft's search engine as default.
Be careful Microsoft because you just might be digging your own hole to crawl in!
They probably thought they were "all that". But in reality... they are the scum of the earth in so many ways. Perhaps someone told them wrong, or they thought that what they were doing, would eventually get them fame and fortune on so many levels.
There will be a breech that will put all those before it to shame. It will rock the very core of what privacy is really all about.
In the past the breeches dealt with just a business at a time. But let a complete network of co-workers, business associates, and consumers be a part of the breech, and add to that a few high class "names". I think the tide will turn.
I have a feeling that woman would of been screwed royally if there had been road crew workers out there putting in new road or something. Would she of gone the same route as Google outlined? Or taken the detour?
I think she would of been stupid enough to take the same Google route.
If I was the students I would of packed up the video, and taken it straight to the local police department, and tell them you want to press charges against the teacher. Then hire a lawyer(s) for yourself to fight the school system for doing NOTHING. If the school wants to play hardball, then play hardball.
Yes the school could say the student went against rules, but so did the teacher! The students in my opinion had every right to protect their stuff, and cash. No school system has the right to make a student more vulnerable. If they fail the students, then the students have every right to step up.
Many of your States right now are trying to dig money out of every nook and cranny they can find. Quite a few States are shutting down programs, laying off, and even schools are suffering from no funds. This doesn't make what NC is doing right. It isn't right! Maybe look at the whole picture, and see if there is a better way for States to survive the economy.
"What people don't understand is that Google's free offerings aren't their products. Google's primary product is advertising."
If they had not their offerings, they would not of gotten this far. Maybe their ads pay for their offerings, but I can't help but to think that their apps, search engine, gmail, is what lured the masses of people in the first place. Tell me that I am going to a website to view just ads, and see if I go. Nope!
A EULA is a agreement between a customer and a business. It is a contract. It is not legal anywhere that I know of to force someone to agree to a contract without being able to see and read the contract first.
