Didn't we have a candidate who ran on liberty over security and the removal of the U.S. from the wars in the Middle East that we were unconstitutionally involved in?
Oh yeah, he didn't make it out of the primary and was treated horridly by the establishment because they wanted Mitt Romney.
Dunno about the ATF myself. They're the guys in charge of making sure that illegal firearms don't get into the U.S. Problem is, they've been defunded heavily by NRA-supported congress-critters, thus making it harder to keep illegal guns out of the hands of criminals.
There was still the fact that you would get hit with a felony for streaming/posting stuff that was under copyright.
Seriously, stop and think about that for a moment...
Posting a copy of something online had the potential to hit you with the same kind of punishment that someone who runs people over with cars, murders, rapes, steals thousands of dollars from a bank, certain animal abuses...
So, in what kind of world does THAT make any sense?
Mmmhmm... Sure, blame google. I'm sure that it makes you feel better at night thinking that it had to be evil Google's fault that SOPA failed and not the fact that there were millions of phone calls to Congress.
*Clap clap clap* What a comeback. You can't think of anything to refute my statement, so you attack me.
Wow! Wish I had thought of that. Imagine how much easier it would be to win an internet argument if all I had to do was insult someone based on the fact that I don't know anything about them.
Dunno about you, but I'm pretty sure that people don't need to know when others are getting abortions, or when they need to see a doctor, lawyer, a lover, or a psychologist...
Of course, since all of that's legal, there must be no reason to hide any of it, right?
I mean, it's not like there's a social stigma for seeing a psychologist, or getting an abortion in some areas of the United States or...

Well then...
Start calling congress and tell them to axe the NSA as they view the public as the enemy and thus are NOT welcome in this, or any other, country.

The "security" that the NSA offers is the same level of security as a mob boss offers to a store owner.
In fact, I think I'd feel safer with the mob boss. At least they won't wreck your store if you pay. The NSA gets paid and they still wreck your stuff.
