"inform reorganization of our internal accounting system"
Very lousy translation for the Korean equivalent of "conducting shady business in order to gain unfair advantage over competing companies", no?
"provide insights into understanding the new administration"
It would be cheaper if they watched Fox News. Oh wait. In that specific case it would be more effective if they bought advertisement space on Fox News.
Reminds me of a discussion I was having the other day about cellphone services and I believe it will resonate with Americans here. For all the 5G talk, all the advertisement about how cool company x is because they offer extra gigabytes or flexibility between plans we just want a freaking company that offers reliable connectivity (including for voice), no shady fees and connections that fit modern usage. I don't want 5G, I want a working, reliable service.
Seems that Fender actually gave a shit to their customers. Sadly this is a good selling point nowadays.
In a few years: "Government decides to split Ubercast after millions of violations of consumer protections and after finding out the rest of the world is at least a decade ahead in terms of connective developments."
"We are enjoying an era of unprecedented digital abundance"
Along with an insanely huge income inequality.
In any case, speaking as someone who is involved in academics, Sci-hub is the most widely used source of articles and the likes by a very wide margin. And I have yet to see anybody involved with academics that not only uses and endorses it but also actively contributes with the catalog by uploading their own works or stuff they have that isn't already online. And I have yet to see a researcher deny such upload to Sci-hub of his/her own work.
Considering how the publishing world is set up I see this as pure justice. Publishers can die a fiery death, they are not needed.

Sir, you need to take your medicine. Also, if you don't like reading more in depth analysis of earlier news then don't! It's simple and it will keep your blood pressure lower.
So when is the kid and his family receiving a hefty monetary compensation for all the trauma? I'll bet that with luck it will be in the lines "better later than never" a few decades in the future. With luck.
I like how the blatant cronyism and disregard for the customer is causing a backlash large enough to make them back off and even cry tears of despair as many states deploy similar or even better protections they are trying so hard to dismantle. Telco tears are sweet. So are Facebook tears it seems.
Based on some past efforts I can't say I expect much from Nintendo. They have fantastic means to make shitloads of money but a corporate mindset that works against themselves.
Yes, the activation thing is pretty annoying when you need to change something on your machine or move to a new one. I haven't tried anything like with the subscription model yet.
"Recent versions of Microsoft Office become almost unusable if not properly activated"
Hmmm really? From personal experience of people asking me to do so it's pretty far from what you are saying. However M$ is offering some pretty good pricing for Office 365 specially with that 1Tb offering that comes attached so I always try to divert them towards signing up. And free software like Libre Office are pretty good for your everyday use, I've used for a long time at work before we got M$ Office licenses that weren't 20 years old.
Lousy crook gets convicted for something. Several years later tries to erase stuff from the internet via shady means. Streisand ensues. Classic DMCA abuse plot line. Quite fun to watch even if the result is pretty much the same every time.

Second: you don't need to euthanize the dogs. They are perfectly capable of living elsewhere if the transition is conducted with proper care.
Third: as many said, there are enormous benefits from legalization. Or are we still mourning the horses that lost their functions when Ford came in?
