Re: Re: Spying isn't ok just because it's done all the time
There is a massive difference between discovering other countries arms abilities and deployment of forces (that's spying) and listening to EVERY SINGLE PHONE/EMAIL from private individuals. That is just wrong on so many levels. Who exactly are they 'defending' us from anyway? I would find American paranoia amusing if it did not affect me directly - I pose absolutely no threat to anyone, I would like those in power to stop abusing it, is that considered a threat to anyone?
Scan the documents and put them all on a DVD or CD and put them in your movie/music collection. Better still if you have a CD printer - put an obscure heavy metal band logo on the front.
You just know instinctively when negotiations are held in private, it's going to be bad for the general public. It realy is annoying when politicians assume we are all stupid enough to believe this nonsense.
I'm not a huge fan of Hollywood movies, I find it hard to watch movies with unbelievable plots. If I was watching 'Prenda Law - A Tale of Deceit' I would have switched it off by now for being ridiculous. Yet - here it is actually happening. Incredible.
I hate using a wireless mouse. I spent a fortune on a wireless RAT so I could sit on my easy chair and watch Netflix, not too bad for that but utterly shit for gaming.

After kidnapping Bulgers Venables used a brick to smash Bulgers head in - even at the age of 10 he must have been aware of his actions.
Then they catch him with paedophilia material on several occasions.
The only picture I want to see of him is in the deepest darkest dungeon doing several life sentences.
It's always struck me a odd that we don't have quality of life as an economic measure. After all why would you want money other than to increase the quality of life?
Money is merely a means to an end, and it is not only money but air quality, security, education, freedom, art etc that gives us that 'feel good factor' - and everyone wants to feel good about their lives.
I live in England - PLEASE, I beg you, don't send Pierce Morgan back here.
Our quality of life has improved noticeably since we dumped him on you (kinda sorry for that btw). He is one of the very few on this planet with ethics lower than Rupert Murdoch.
Put anyone in charge of a department which produces nothing and you can guarantee they will not come back a little later saying: "You know, you don't really need us, we are inefficient and unnecessary - may as well sack us all". They will almost certainly say "Hey, we are really important, our job is vital and we need more powers and funds".
Boris Johnson (our likely next Prime Minister), David Cameron and their ilk live in a different universe to us. I would suggest ignoring the occasional brain fart.
