1) Happy to see this here on TechDirt! 2) Yes, this is extremely frustrating. However, it is not a new problem. This kind of crap has been going on for years, be it an official policy or not. :/
This is a prime example of why I never actually mind paying my T-Mobile bill. It also helps that I've gotten over 100Mbps download speeds on their LTE...
This is just getting ridiculous. I'm going to mount a remote-activated stealth camera in my car just for traffic stops since showing your camera is apparently a felony.
I still don't see what's so hard about someone going "sorry guys, we fucked up." But I guess they have to acknowledge that they fucked up in the first place for that to happen...
I watched the local news channel the other night, and when the sports broadcaster came on for the 10:00 news, he said that he would /like/ to broadcast highlights of the just-finished baseball game, but he couldn't because of the "stupid" rebroadcast rights that the MLB had in place.
Honestly, I think they should keep this hyped up. It keeps people interested. In this economy and with all of the negativity in the world, there needs to be some optimism and excitement to keep the masses sane. :)
I don't see how big organizations like the PPCA expect people to blindly conform to their will and accept these outrageous fees. They had to know that there was at least a possibility of it backfiring...
