Of course, as we've been highlighting recently, there's been a big push in China to build up a belief in patents. It seems this firm has already learned the basics of the American patent system: it's suing in Texas, of course!

The Chinese companies are likely aware of the west's viewpoint on knock offs and deciding to take a shot.
Including Wal-Mart et al is a nice method of making sure word gets around faster. I'm guessing the retail chains will be dropped at some point.

    setbacks

The consumers are currently losing the war on bandwidth and pricing, at least for the time being.

    Heres a thought...

Reading over the article from the montana news-station website, it occurs to me that there may just be a simpler and just as hot button topic for this little hoohah:
    Discrimination.

I would like the state officials to provide me a detailed explanation on the vague terms "of good moral character".

The City takes privacy rights very seriously, but this request balances those rights with the City's need to ensure employees will protect the public trust, according to city attorney Greg Sullivan.
Which will never be the same again. You want the public to trust their officials? How can they when the officials can't trust each other.

Wonder what happened to a simple police/crim-check and previous work references providing enough information to read between the lines? Incidently, you can have my access codes when you pry them from my cold dead hands :)

    Along for the ride

The RIAA is basically milking it for all its worth while the getting is still good. They know they can't keep obscuring records forever or the rumblings will turn into a full blown storm of public outcry regarding fraud.

    Hehehe.

I'm betting the Riaa exec's are frothing with envy at the SPPF's balls to try something like that.

    Tsk tsk

Pirated three weeks before launch huh? Maybe nobody slipped it out past the door in the middle of the night to let EA spindoctors take a shot at changing their image a little.
They know they've got another major project coming up and can't afford to frag it up. EA isn't changing their position just that quick without good cause.
