No question the Governor is being a complete dick, but why can't they use other platforms such as Facebook, G+, Youtube, Minds....there are a plethora of other platforms "to petition the Government for a redress of grievances"
If the Government stepped in and banned them from all platforms I'd completely agree but I'm not seeing a breach of their constitutional rights.
"the legal team for Take Two ought to have been able to stroll into court in their underwear, scream "Parody! First Amendment!" and immediately walk out of the courtroom victorious."
"I think this is nothing more than bad timing" And this is what is wrong with organisations like this. They have no clue as to how the internet works, and until they do they will continue to loose ridiculous amounts of money, all they while complaining about how more regulation is needed./div>
9. Without conclusive evidence, convince the local authorities that one of your neighbors is about to erase the songs on your iPod, therefore killing off all piracy related proof on a global scale. Have SWAT, police dogs, helicopters raid their house. Search for 15 minutes looking for your neighbor (who is sitting at the dining table reading the paper and was only found after their wife/husband pointed them out), seize all assets, rough them up and then demand they be incarcerated until they can turn a case of break and enter into a global piracy conspiracy.
Only afterwards is it proven that not only did they not steal the iPod, but they were interstate on holidays at the time./div>
People love to through down terms such as "meetings with industry stakeholders" and other variations with the key word being stakeholder. It is a sad state of affairs when the public who pay for these services are ignored as stakeholders, and the only people who get a say are the people who donate vast sums of money, while the real stakeholders get to shake our heads at the pure stupidity of what gets jammed down our throats as being good for us./div>
The US National Counterterrorism Center (NCTC) defines terrorism as "premeditated; perpetrated by a sub-national or clandestine agent; politically motivated, potentially including religious, philosophical, or culturally symbolic motivations".
The SOPA/PIPA debate clearly falls in the terms of politically motivated terrorism by holing the world population and businesses to ransom./div>
