the really horrible thing about this, is that they tried to screw a man's life up in the process, glorifying in leading him out in handcuffs - they really have no moral values at all, all because of people's natural desire to share music and things that they love.
to know the situation between George Lucas and the many fan created books / programmes. I assume he gets royalties from them and has contracts signed up?
I think people like what they know and don't like change generally so it would take more than that to get them to transfer from google.
It's always thought that the reason people eat shitty food is because it is cheaper, when I think laziness and not wanting to take time to cook is the more important factor, rather than a financial analysis of the options!
I've noticed even youtube seems to have a filtering system which completely blanks any comment voted down enough. It can get a bit annoying though as you can read replies to them and sometimes you wish they'd let you see the comment if you wanted to.
I read that there seemed to be one clause that was meant to remove copyright protection from orphan works, so people could use something when nobody was there to claim copyright, but for some reason this was withdrawn. Seems a shame that the one good thing that could have come out of this was removed

I think a lot of this is down to common sense on the part of parents. My 2 year old gets a bit upset if things get a bit hairy in Chuggington so I'm not about to play Doom 3 in front of him. The games come with age guides so you can choose whether your children should play them.
and I still don't really know what exactly is legal and what isn't, particularly with regards to digital information. I've been on several courses and the upshot of those courses is that there isn't any 'simple' way of telling people what they can and can't do and you have to just hope for the best. Surely simplicity should be the measure of a law which is supposed to be followed by everyone?
