Their "sense of humor" has/had nothing to do with it.
"Some of the early 20th century Polish jokes might have been told originally before World War II in disputed border-regions such as Silesia, suggesting that Polish jokes did not originate in Nazi Germany, but a lot earlier, as an outgrowth of regional jokes rooted in historical social class differences. Nonetheless, these jokes were later fuelled by ethnic slurs disseminated by German warlords and National Socialist propaganda that attempted to justify the Nazi crimes against ethnic Poles by presenting them as dirty and relegating them as inferior on the basis of not being German."
It looks like MDT may have confused "right to work" with "at-will employment". Right to Work is, as you said, about union affiliation. Right to Work laws are pretty much for making sure you cannot be either denied employment or fired from your job based on union membership or non-membership.
At-will employment means that if you are an at-will employee your boss can fire you for whatever they want so long as it is not violation of their state's public policy doctrine or a state or federal statute. There are some good examples posted here. http://www.toplawfirm.com/employmentlawFAQs.html
Sec. 7. [ยง 157.] Employees shall have the right to self-organization, to form, join, or assist labor organizations, to bargain collectively through representatives of their own choosing, and to engage in other concerted activities for the purpose of collective bargaining or other mutual aid or protection, and shall also have the right to refrain from any or all of such activities except to the extent that such right may be affected by an agreement requiring membership in a labor organization as a condition of employment as authorized in section 8(a)(3) [section 158(a)(3) of this title].
Even if you are an at-will employee you cannot be fired for something considered a protected activity. Well...they COULD fire you, but you'll have legal recourse if they do./div>
I find it funny that an officer with the LAPD said this after I heard about John Winkler today. This happened back in April where LAPD officers responded to a call and ended up shooting two of the VICTIMS, killing one of them, and then arrested the guy who had them held hostage. Even though the cops shot one of the hostages in the leg and killed another one, they charged the guy who was holding them hostage with murder. O_o The cops killed shot the hostages as they were just trying to get away. They shot without knowing what was going on.
The cops said that the person they were called about was a white male wearing a black shirt. John Winkler was also wearing a black shirt so obviously he was their man so they shot him.
So apparently if you are the same race as the criminal they are called for and just happen to be wearing the same color shirt you may get shot too./div>
I got around two years of free internet with AOL using just the free time. Each time I would call to cancel they would give me more free months. Eventually I ended up getting someone that actually did cancel it lol./div>
Surely I'm not the only one that read this and thought, "Why did she keep the emails on her computer and not the server?".
Hell the company I work for still uses Lotus Notes and no one ever deletes any email. I worked with a user that had a 10gb mail file and we have another employee with a 25gb mail file. All of those emails are stored on the server with copies on a backup server and a DR server mirror as well./div>
When I learned cursive in elementary school I was always just annoyed at having to write that way. It actually felt to me like it took too long to write things out in cursive instead of print. I stopped using it entirely when it was no longer required.
I had to take "Keyboarding" as a freshman in high school. I also ended up taking three other computer based classes before graduating high school. I am very happy that I had to take that keyboarding class because I don't think I would be nearly as good at typing as I am now if I didn't take it.
The tests in the class were done with a cardboard cover over the keyboard so you couldn't look down at your hands while typing. That actually helped a lot too. I can type entirely without looking at the keyboard and most of the time I don't use the "home keys" either. I have been using computers for so long I just know where the keys are at. Some people find it odd that I can also type something while paying attention to someone else talk (actually looking at them while they are speaking) and not type out what they are saying instead of what I was meaning to type.
I do IT work for a living and I am typing on the computer every single day. When I have to hand write things it is always in print or a somewhat combination of cursive and print that I use when I start writing fast.
I realize that not all MMOs are RPGs, but they are the most abundant. I guess Minecraft's multiplayer mode can be a MMO if you want it to be given the sheer number of players on some of the biggest MP servers out there right now./div>
The guy said his virtual representation isn't that great because he was using first gen kinects, but it would be MUCH better if he was using the current gen./div>
As another "me too" on this one. The first thing I read are the negative reviews. I do this in stores as well. While I'm price matching stuff on Amazon I will read through the reviews too.
Quite often though I come across items where the person said they didn't even buy it from Amazon, but they are reviewing it there anyway.
I came across a 1 star review for the AT&T Note 3, but the reviewer stated they got their device from Verizon. Their review was based on just simply not knowing the features of the device and when it was pointed out that they were reviewing the AT&T version they insisted the review was still valid because it was the same device. -_-/div>
Like AC said, it really isn't that hard at all. I got a random friend request on PSN and was able to find the person on facebook. It doesn't take much info really. I asked why they sent me the request and they responded saying I had commented on something. I looked up the user's PSN id in Google and found a facebook post where someone else gave them my PSN id saying it was theirs for some reason.
I also had this happen some time ago when I was getting random requests and found that someone had my PSN id on their youtube videos. I found the person on YouTube and had him remove my id. Wasn't hard to find either./div>
While this is pretty much true (I have gotten pretty pissed at horrible games myself) the same can be said about anything in life really.
Anything meant to "calm" someone down will have the exact opposite effect if implemented poorly. Think of getting a massage as an example. Should be a relaxing experience, but if they are playing obnoxious music in the background, constantly talk about their boring lives during the massage, and aren't really good at the massage anyway you are going to leave there pretty upset.
The bigger issue then becomes what you do next. Do you resolve to stay pissed off, or do you find something else to do that you know will calm you down?
I have games I keep on hand just for when I play something shitty that pisses me off. I switch to something I know is a good game that will help change my mood to a more positive one./div>
I worked at a Rave movie theater a number of years ago and back then I honestly would have loved to catch someone recording video to get me that $500. You have to act immediately, stop the person from recording, call the cops, and file a police report to be eligible though.
While I never actually caught anyone in the act, there was one time I caught a guy trying to bring in a full size video camera in a backpack. We had to search all over sized bags coming in and when I found it I gave him that "you have to be kidding me" look, and told him he couldn't bring it in. He couldn't grasp why I wouldn't let him bring it in even though he promised he wouldn't record anything./div>
If you watch closely before he bolts the first time you can see that one of the bikers was trying to get his door open. Looks like that was why he drove off as fast as he did./div>
It looks like michelinman900 is the one who shot the video and BNN is the channel the embedded video above is from. It still loads though. Watching some of michelinman900's videos you can tell exactly what kind of group they are./div>
OMG this changes EVERYTHING! All of those innocent people in prison there for shooting people...they didn't do it! Their guns were responsible, not them!....

The "National Labor Relations Act" would be the federal statute this "protected concerted activity" would fall under.

Learned both, but still only use one
