Just a little side issue here, I'm trying to watch the imbedded video but it comes up with "The uploader has not made this video avalible in you country".
But I'm from New Zealand! I can't watch New zealand news? A bit ironic really; now I'll have to pirate it.
I wonder if it's avalible on Megaupload ...., wait..., no...., Arghhhh...../div>
Well if I were the Irish Government, I'd show EMI just how quickly that the government could pass a new law - banning complaining record lable companys from selling in Ireland./div>
Kate Middleton's dress is almost an exact copy of my wife's wedding dress.
I'm going to have to sue Google for that!
Actually I thought it was a reasonbly common style, and ther are millions and millions of wedding dresses out there, how could you not design a dress that is similar to others?
P.S. I've trademarked the colour "white" and the words "wedding dress" so you owe me some money Mike!/div>
Is not given a camera to some monkeys creative?, selecting and editing pictures that they took creative?
Whats the difference between a monkey and a camera self-timer. Would he beable to claim copyright to pictures where he set up a camera self-timer and then threw it in the air at the appropriate time? After selecting and editing the pictures would he not own the copyright?/div>
I see no problem with lumping 24,583 users together.
If just one is proved to be falsely accused then wouldn't that would negate all the rest (I.E. there would besignificant doubt that the process for accusation is not flawed)./div>
SO, if I, as a fiction writer, started writing a novel on copyright infringment and used a fictious address for the perpetrators "that is coincidently" just across the road from me, could I sell seats to the insuing Swat team raid....?
Could I store my photographs on Box but name them Thor.avi and Dark_Knight.MP4 Would men in dark suit and sunglasses visit me?
Sounds like misdirection could be a fun game to play with the RIAA./div>
I think it's more of a case of expectations, as part of an "event" one would expect cameras and media to be there and taking video and photos. If you don't want in the limelight you don't go to the event.
But while walking down a street one does not expect to have their photo taken and there is no way anyone can do anything about it.
Why would you need to send a confirmation message? How could one not understand that recieving the message STOP from a unique cell phone numbe mean any thing else?
What would be the use of recieving a confirmation from the same said cell phone?
I hope they get millions. Then maybe the stupidity would STOP!/div>
Agreed,
Ring the bell and we salivate. The food industry has changed our perception by training our basic instincts to jump through their hoops.
It will take a long time (probably never) to untrain ourselves.
Yet there are products like "hint" flavored waters that have no color yet are popular. Spices you can't see when added to meat, pasta, etc that change the flavors. Salt anyone?
And what color is an nice apple, red? green? yellow?/div>
They are trialling these vile backscatter machines here in New Zealand. I've already given up flying to the US. If they use them for all international flights I'll have to give up holidaying overseas.
But then again I'll have lots of spare money to frequent restaurants that don't serve our Airport security staff.
Buildings can be toppled when pushed from the outside, but if the base/foundation has rot too they will collapse so much faster./div>
Fraud: A deception deliberately practiced in order to secure unfair or unlawful gain.
Seems the use of fraudulent documents (be them virtual or real) or fraudulent statements to gain pecuniary advantage is not a thing a government should get into..../div>
