Boyfriend Looking At Porn? Steal His Computer
from the interesting-relationship-strategies dept
If you're worried that your significant other is spending too much time checking out online porn, it's probably not the smartest move to then get some of your friends to break into their house and steal the computer. That's what one woman did to her boyfriend (though, her friends got a little greedy and stole jewelry, CDs, and a television as well). Her lawyer seemed to think that this was a legitimate way to "protect the relationship" and used that argument in court. Thankfully, it failed, as the judge pointed out that stealing a computer will probably do little to help save such a relationship.Thank you for reading this Techdirt post. With so many things competing for everyone’s attention these days, we really appreciate you giving us your time. We work hard every day to put quality content out there for our community.
Techdirt is one of the few remaining truly independent media outlets. We do not have a giant corporation behind us, and we rely heavily on our community to support us, in an age when advertisers are increasingly uninterested in sponsoring small, independent sites — especially a site like ours that is unwilling to pull punches in its reporting and analysis.
While other websites have resorted to paywalls, registration requirements, and increasingly annoying/intrusive advertising, we have always kept Techdirt open and available to anyone. But in order to continue doing so, we need your support. We offer a variety of ways for our readers to support us, from direct donations to special subscriptions and cool merchandise — and every little bit helps. Thank you.

Re: How is this tech news?
If the site is so lame, why do you come here? The story was amusing, so I posted it. If you don't like it, don't post it on your own site, but if you're going to comment, at least have something intelligent to say.

Re: How is this tech news?
Personally, I like the site and I found the story offbeat, unusual, on topic (site-wise).
