There's no shortage of cooking shows to watch -- with chefs yelling at each other on commercial TV or the more amiable chefs on public channels. Food seems to be an endlessly fascinating topic, so here are a few quick links on creative food preparation.

Make your own frozen dinners: 46 meals for under $100. Remember to label everything really well -- because you're probably not going to know what you're eating a couple weeks into your stockpile. [url]

Stockpile?
A couple of weeks into your stockpile? That's a scary thought. Just a word of caution, freezer burn can affect the taste of the food when prepping it, everyone is so inclined to "nuke" their frozen specialty, which normally kills the flavor. If you are going to nuke 6 week old frozen food, just eat a piece of cardboard and top it off with the tupperware lid, it will probably have more flavor and nutrition..... America, slow down, enjoy life, it's shorter than you think.
