Ok, on this point we're in agreement; these tactics are NOT being properly employed. I guess the diff. between us is I have no hope whatsoever that where the government is involved, THEY WILL NEVER BE PROPERLY EMPLOYED. Seriously, what does the government do other than collect taxes with real efficiency? And; they probably don't do that very well, assuming my suspicions with regard to the field agent/dollars collected ratio is what I think is it.
I rather suspect my credence regarding the state of the sky would be severely cut if I not only ran around talking about how the sky was falling, but paid some bozos to act like they had just been hit by pieces of the sky. Add to that I am the only QUALIFIED sky deflection suit seller in the land, well, I don't believe I'd get much of an audience. But if I'm the government, woah, whole new ball park.
If you can do without color you can get an off-brand (not kindle or the other one, forget the cute little marketing name) you can get a dandy e-reader gadget for a fraction of the price of the name brand ones. And no drm. Takes text, pdf, e-ink, all of it.
I find it interesting how many government agencies simply ignore his truthful statements about the constitution. Also interesting is the number of people who reply to his pointed questions that they can't answer, which led to one (or more) logical incongruities.
It also occurs to me that "random selection" is the same as conviction without a trial, isn't it?
"I'm sorry you feel that way. I know that the systems are not perfect. And any system can be fooled if someone is determined enough. But by putting more layers to security, it makes it more difficult to beat the systems."
I assume by "layers" you mean these naked scanners?
You say this even though you know that Michael Chertoff, our man in the whitehouse in-charge of all this TSA stuff has investor interest in the company that makes the Rapiscan machines, yes? And you should know this because I've mentioned it before and posted links to the stories about it, right?
And this makes you feel safe? Or ripped off (again) by our own leaders.
"Nothing is perfect. You may feel that your right is violated, but, really, don't you want to feel more safe?, than die by a terrorist attack because some people think it inconvenient them or it violate them?"
Problem is; we don't feel more safe. All this effort and money spent for all this airport security crap and its resulted in YOU feeling safe. Sorry, not good enough. At least for me and a few million others.
Good vid. It occurred to me while watching it that as the Fed. grows and grows in size in an effort to regulate more and more of our lives its simply getting more and more incompetent, not with the stuff the constitution mandates but with the extra weight we've been tacking on its back over the years. And it seems to have a myopic scope on the extremely small details and completely ineffective at putting together a big picture.
